Questionable R34 Gtr Sale Post
milanr34 replied to jmknights93's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yep I have the same things on mine - works a treat -
Hey Mike, First search on google for "r34 gtt thermostat part number" came up with: Part number for R34 GTT 82degree thermostat should be 21200-V7205 - and that is from SAU Having PODS fitted shouldn't make your radiator non-existant. Most likely its either of three things: thermostat, waterpump or the radiator.

Went to DT Panels and the guys know what they are doing. They painted some parts in bsb and fitted them on the 34. Quality product and good service would def recommend them

Melbourne Bodykit Paint And Fit?
milanr34 replied to viper2002's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Bit of an old thread but thought I'd give you some feedback in regards to DT Panels. Bought some nismo extentions and rear pods by Jsai and left them with Vu. Painting and fitment went without a problem, an excellent job was done and wasn't expensive. He even offered to have a look at the car again after my details to make sure everything matches. He doesnt feed you bs and is down to earth - cant beat that -
Sorry to hear about the news, was is stolen at Narre Warren South? If you've seen a BSB 34 thats mine as I visit my parents. Its usually a very family oriented area and I've never herd of things like this. Jake is right about the people to call - im currently in talks with Van from DT Panels for some side skirt and rear pod fitments.

New Member, Looking At An R34 Gtr - Advice Needed
milanr34 replied to ShortCircuit's topic in Victoria
Like any other car as long as regular maintenance is done on it it will last. Granted parts and labour are more expensive but worth it in the end. 1/ I had a look at a GTR today. It looks good and drove great. I'm currently getting a history check done on the vehicle. A De-reg certificate and auction papers can validate KM's 2/ The car does not have a user manual/service history. Is this common on Japanese imports? Some have them some don't 3/ Owner was happy enough to put the car on the hoist and do a system pressure check on the car for me - which I will organise to have done sometime soon. Is there anything specific I should be looking for while I have the car on the hoist? Taking the car to a specialist like Racepace or Edgemotorworks they can do a complete review of the car and tell you the good and bad points of the car 4/ How long do standard turbos last generally before they are due for an overhaul? If its stock boost and maintained they will last a long time. Thanks again -edit- One more thing. Car has done approx 80,000kms. I've asked if part of the deal, the timing belt can be changed. Anything else that might need to be done around this stage?? Generally the 100k service would be the right thing to do -

At first I got a push back from them saying the car isn't in the 16th year, but the build was in March they accepted it. Funny enough when I did the application they never asked me if my car was modified - they just asked for the name, brand of the car and that was it. I want to increase the insurance amount but will wait around a little bit in case they have a change of heart. -
There is plenty to read on here, modding guides etc etc. To give you a TL;DR version: - You changed stock parts - You want more power - but you are running stock ECU which is tuned for stock parts Get the nistune, get it tuned and enjoy the car. I've had something similar on my gtt before and was running it for about 3 weeks before I got a tune.

2016 Round 1 - Jan 30th Sandown Track Day Multiclub

thanks mate, will be sure to drop by -
Just to give an update on the current status of the GTR. I have to admit its probably one of the best decision I've ever made in my life. Its very fun to drive but what is especially interesting is when people are giving you the look "cmon man.......punch it please". Car is very healthy so no real modifications were done since I got it. Ill post some pictures so you can see the before and after. Fixed/Replaced: - MDF Screen (had to do a lot of precise peeling but came out like new - thanks to whoever made the tutorial on here) - Installed an Aus stereo and made the wiring nice and neat behind the dash - Removed the nismo tie rods and camber arms as they arent adjustable, replaced with cusco so car goes 100% straight (was pulling very slightly to the left) - Have a friend who does detailing who polished off the headlights, really good job. Will be detailing the rest of the car in a few weeks Apart from that its very enjoyable to ride things I need to get are: - Side skirts and rear pods, have a really good deal which are made up for fibreglass will be buying them on wednesday as its so hard to find oem - Detail the car - Perhaps swap over my bronze 19" te37 with a pair of 18" - Swap exhaust for something a little bit quieter as this is very loud as its a 3.5" straight through, kinda needed for the 360atw tune (its a kakimoto) http://postimg.org/image/4m9c1hhb3/ http://postimg.org/image/3wgzpeuht/ http://postimg.org/image/ac1r1g8o7/ http://postimg.org/image/74fbga6bl/ Also need to learn how to paste photo links so they show up in the post haha

2016 Round 1 - Jan 30th Sandown Track Day Multiclub
milanr34 replied to ssxRicho's topic in Archived Events
Sounds like a fun day. What if we wanted to come along but not actually go on the track, is there still a $225 fee? (read through but I couldn't find an answer). Wanted to come along to the event and meet some people in the SAU VIC and get their thoughts on gtrs -
$110 in total (that inc courier freight)

Made the payment and got the remote the next day, quite fast and they use express couriers. Its the exact copy of the one I already have. Problem is you need to have your original Pin Code of the alarm for it to accept another remote. Previous owners have lost the documentation so I have to open up the unit, as its listed in the cover. Other than that can't fault them.
-
Thanks for the inputs. Guess I should have been more specific - it was for the 34 an afer market alarm. If you are in VIC get in contact with No Limit Car Sound Vision - friendly and happy to help out. Can anybody recommend a business that will be able to do this? Else I will start calling up alarm businesses in general and go from there. Will post my results for future.

Haha

Hi all, Does anybody have a contact in Melb (west or south east) who can duplicate an alarm remote so I can create some spares? I've looked on the forums however everything is in NSW.

Nice write up djr81. Mine has aftermarket suspension, rims and is lowered - after doing an alignment they said its still a tad bit out but nothing major. Seeing as it only gets driven on weekends its not a big deal. But wanting to get perfect wheel alignment would you need to change upper and lower control arms? If so then there is the pain of if they are legal or not. Did you end up getting the alignment you were after?

Sorry to hear that. Your best bet is to seek legal advice. I remember a case couple of years ago where the similar thing has happened. There was an encumbrance against the car, seller sold it to the buyer without the buyer doing the proper checks. Buyer had to get a lawyer and after a few hearings won the right to wont he car. **This doesn't guarantee this will happen in your case** What was noted in your "Contract of Sale"? When I did mine I made sure the necessary checks were done but I also had a clause to state "if there is any encumbrance on the car it is the responsibility of the seller to clear it as they are liable with any money owing on this car". Sadly it will be your word against theirs and you will need to provide proof that you are the new owner. You also need to look at it from the companies point of view. Money is owned and a third party has their collateral its only right by them to try and obtain it. My advice is for you to gather all your documentation and seek legal advice is the company wont budge.
