  1. Cheers for the info, haven't had time to look at this prob as ive been swamped with work.. The guys at OTR surely know how to put a tyre on else they would be known by all SAU members. Will have to do it one of these days. Also happen to get negative feed back from the seller haha
  2. To add some further feedback on these rims. I bought them off Abdul in October last year I think and were left in storage. Was asked couple of times if they were bent, with the reply of coarse being no they are good. Note that the rims were markes as L Front R Front, L Rear and R Rear. I had to work overseas for about 3 months (so the rims were put in storage) and upon my return OTR were having a special on the Kumho tyres (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/421562-kumho-ku36-sale/) which i went to buy mid march (my post to OTR is there as well) The guy at OTR showed me that the L Rear and R Rear were doing on the balancing machine without the tyre - basically they are warped and he had to use a lot of weight to even try and get them close to balance. (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/421962-140g-weight-balancing-safe/#entry6789759 had to ask for members opinion on bent rims) I contacted Abdul regarding the rims to which some of the replies are: I hit the rims my self, the guy doesnt know how to put a wheel on a tyre, what can i expect form 10 year old rims etc etc.... be mindful of people who say they are legit
  3. couple of things you can do really.... 1) Go to Autobarn they are selling an alarm (Viper i think) which has the alarm its self and the gps unit by its self. Gps unit isnt a live feed, it works off a signal when you request it (costs $100 a year) 2) Buy a andrioid phone, put it on the simplest plan and install a tracking app. Use when required and put it in a well hidden place

    New 34Gtt

Hey all, Its been a while since i was posting about my last skyline...having the 31, 32 and 33 it was time to sell the Audi and get the 34. Now I wanted a 34GTR, however I would have dug my self a big hole so instead found a nice clean black 34 1998 GTt. After having it for a few months parts that were changed: - 100k service kit (belts, filters, o2 sensor etc etc) - Rotors (DBA's) and Pads - Rocket Cover - Suspension (BR Racing - abit stiffer than the oem) - RIms (GTR with Kumho Tyres) - Because the car came with the Nismo dash, i've changed the triple gauge cluster and climate control lights to red to match - dvd player - 6" speakers front and rear with spliters (mamho, mumho forgot the brand but they sound good haha) Apart from that the rest of it is stock. Overall everything is in good condition considering its age, turbo has no wiggle and there arent any leaks. The only thing I have to do is replace one of the power steering hoses (the bigger ones) as its becoming damp. I've been trying to find it but Autobarn have only the smaller one - think its the return. So basically everything was a DYI on this car (some help had to come from a russian mate who is a rb fanatic). Whats next? Thinking of changing the triple cluster gauges and waiting for the motor to die so a rebuild can happen. (will have to wait as the motor is about to hit the 100k mark haha) Will post some pics when its a sunny day - but if anybody has any questions about the gtt's ill be happy to help out.
  5. Thanks for the info GTSBoy, they are r34 GTR rims so im presuming they should be good if they were to be put back into shape.$150 i guess it isnt so bad, especially since i just bought the kumhos they are only 2 days old haha Ill see how it goes. Tnx for the info all
  6. Rotating them on the rim? Not too sure what you mean, but he put the rim only first and turned them on (prob to test them out) then came the tyre and balancing. Alright so as long as im not going 140km/h sideways im sweet haha tnx fellas Ill post the results when I visit the shop
  7. Thanks for the reply, Well on the day when I came to buy them I asked if they were in an accident or damaged - he said they were in perfect condition, now he claims that I should have tested them within two weeks and that I've caused the damage to them even though there isn't a scratch on them. He keeps altering his mind which is the frustrating bit from the wheel balancer doesnt know what he is doing, those rims are better then the ones he has, i've caused the damage and to the latest "what do you expect from 10yr old rims". He must have known as there is a reason they were all marked (L Front, R Front, L Rear and R Rear) so he would know where to put them. I can understand they wont be perfect but I took his word thinking it would be ok. Ill have to chase it up - do you know any places in VIC? I've been told by some people its fine however not to exceed the 130km/h mark because then you might notice it.....still prob not worth the risk really I found a place near my house which aint bad, ill get a quote and let people know just in case. Appreciate the help bud
  8. Hey all, I bought some rims from a member which were apparently in good condition. Few months went by (tyres were in storage and me overseas for work) I went to a place to fit some tyres on it. I've bought some ku36's (235/40/18) which fit quite nicely however two of the rims are pretty effd. The guy showed me the rim on the machine as it was wobbling as it was spinning. He had to put some weight to try and make it work, normally i see up to 40g of weight being added on - however he had to put about 140g on one and 85 on the other. Going by that the other two good nic will be at the front and these in the rear: - Is this safe to drive? - Will the car constantly need wheel balancing/alignment because of it? cheers for the input guys
  9. 235/40/18 95W RRP $455 NOW $250 x4 Able to be picked up this saturday?
  10. Yea i know, problem is that there are so many of them hahaha
  11. nice thread bud, keep up the good work.....seems quite a few people are tracking their 34's...giving me ideas when my one dies out any chance you can remember where you bought those gauges from? wanting to do the same with mine
  12. guess I have to apologize as well - just got some given to me from a friend who doesn't need them good luck with the sale
  13. Hey bud, I can prob get the stands and the jack off ya, im also in the south east... Let us know when you have some pics, cheers
  14. hahaha yea its a small fix i guess.....i used to have some Tein's on my 33 but that was way too stiff..... These are basically like the oem, just a little firmer with adjustable height. I still have stock one's on the 34 so this is a nice replacement
  15. ^^^ +1 mine are in transit, BC the way to go
  16. all house lights turned off, and with 5.1.......yer some things to make you jump at times reminded me or Resident Evil one when i was 10 while playing it haha
  17. ^^^^ +1 Also the upcoming South Park and the Stick of Truth looks pretty good - if you like the show you will like this....although ETA is sometime this year some say june some say december
  18. Agreed with most of these choices, also give these a go: Singularity - FPS you have a tool that can morph buildings/items/enemies around you in time League of Legends - similar to dota, fun to play DmC - 1, 2, 3, 4, and the newest.....who doesnt like games like these Deus Ex - Human Revolution, one of the best games ive ever played - a must have Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 with all the add ons - great story to begin with, many hours worh of playing especially since all the dlc's get carried over to the next game as you make decisions......yes yes ending has been talked about but worth it
  19. yea good game, very addictive i must say.....milanr34 is mine
  20. There are loads out there...all depends on how much you want to spend. You can get ones that have live monitoring but that has device install and running subscriptions, or you can go the opposite way and get an android/iphone, put it on a plan and get a gps app that will tell you the location of the car.
  21. Ahh nice post, Mine are factory as well and i think it will blow out soon, good to know
