Ahh nice cheap shot drag queen!

1.15 running an engine in seems fair to me, I am happy to take you on any day any circuit

Isn't it time you started another thread telling everyone how good you are? its been a week or two since the last one

bwhahahahaha

No cheap shot there just telling it how it is

I got no probs taking a bit of stick...you can dish it out but not take it back.

ill take to the track with you.....but will you step in the ring with me??

Its just a bit of friendly banter Dunc's...why do you take it so hard. You love to give it...then you spit the dummy and have a big sooky la la when it comes back...your skin must be thin!

BTW... i have the utmost respect for you as a driver and your car...but you have no respect for our car or our team...we get a lot of press and i know that irks you. I was one of the first people to congrats you in your thread about your achievements. I can't however respect you as a man as im yet to see any manly traits from you...its all childish name calling and stone throwing.

Thats ok...im not looking to you for acceptance or congrats...its just a bit of mutual respect would not go astray...as we both love motorsport and the Nissan marque...so we must have something in common.

What turb do you have on the RB26 these days, or has it now got a 30 bottom end?

Its been about 6 months since i drove my car...im looking forward to gettiing it back on the road amd taking it for a bash... Here is to hoping that they accept me, as i dont like my chances of being motivated enough to do a road trip to NSW in the near future :)

c'mon give him some slack. just because he bought a GTR doesn't automatically give him the expectation of being a shit hot driver. at least (unlike the majority of GTR owners) he is out on the track having some fun. it may have been his first track day ever.

I'd cut him some slack if he deserved it.

But when you title your video "The Art of Kickin Ass" and start it off with the text:

1) Find the right car

2) Spend the time and set it up right (with a shot of a high mount single turbo conversion and the interior with a full cage and stupid monster tacho)

3)Once set up you must test it (a shot of him blasting past other cars down a straight)

4) Then take the piss out of everything else

then I'd be really hard pressed to say that, in this case, the owner isn't letting the possession of a GT-R tax disc give him the expectation that he's shit hot.

Honestly, you deserve all the scorn you get when you talk yourself up, and then show a video of you getting cleaned up by a stockish Civic Type-R who blows past you on corner exit.

fair enough. i hadn't seen the vid lol. the art of kicking ass. love it. haha

i have heard of one car entering. it's rwd with a nice motor and a really ugly driver. it will be one to watch for sure. should cream some of the blow-ins like troy quite nicely i reckon...

mate, i'm hoping all the SAU boys get a run. I would enter but it's far easier for me to talk it up from the sidelines. (plus i don't think my little ol' GTR would be good enough :ban: )

    • Hopefully it ends up being something manageable, like a hone, rather than a full bore—it would be a huge relief if it’s not as bad as it looks. Hang in there; these setbacks are annoying, but it sounds like you’re handling it as smartly as possible.
    • At the end of the day, it’s all about understanding the odds and being comfortable with the potential cost, whether it’s horsepower on a build or chips on a roulette table. And I have to say, the Laine example made me laugh—some people really do embrace that carefree, “roll and see” attitude!
    • Thanks MBS206, i got that PDF but got abit overhelm with all the connections and tracing of wires. I wasn't expecting to plug the dash harness anywhere. i was just going to use my electronics jumper wires to plug into the right pins like ECU power, ecu ground, ignition trigger etc... I do have a few ratchet straps locking it down tight. Fire extinguisher ready and only a small amount of fuel at a time, enough to submerge the pump.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, i will do abit more digging. I am missing a blue relay near the ECU connector... so i will chase that up in the next few days as well
    • https://yariksteel.ru/manual/R33/Skyline_R33_elektroprovodka.pdf   Page 18 should be what you want for the Dash Cluster wiring. Though, you don't need the dash plugged in to get the motor running. What you want is power as how GTSBoy said. You need to power the ECU. Find in the above link the ECU pin outs (Verify them before just connecting them up from things written on the internet). Find anything needing power, give it power, find anything needing ground, give it ground. Then give the starter motor power through a big cable, and bridge the solenoid on the starter straight to power too.  ECU will be on, and when you give the starter power, it'll spin the starter motor, and it should start. I also hope you have a proper stand, and not just the engine sitting on some wood. You will want it bolted down properly.
