Webber could not win a chook raffle in a pub let alone an F1 race in that sht box..and now wait for it he is leaving Williams to go where???..some sources are saying RBR....oh for fk sake Webber piss off out of F1 and go to Chump..I mean Champ Car where all the other nobodys go.

Someone remind me to mention this quote when he wins a race next year with Renault :)

Webber's proven in the past that he can win races in all the other categories he's competed in given the right equipment, so to claim he is a 'chump' or a 'nobody' is ridiculous.

The simple truth is that he's never had a car capable of winning races in F1 - simple. There's no doubt that he's a top line driver. He's always outperformed his teammate and the relative performance of his car compared to the rest of the field. I'd go as far to say that arguably he's one of the better drivers in the championship - probably just behind Schumi, Alonso and Raikkonen (based on the fact that he has never had the equipment to truely compete with these guys head to head).

Admittedly, I'm probably a little biased, but i've never let that get in the way of a good argument :D

yeah, all the good drivers have the massive jaw.

i reckon williams should give me and fatz a go next year. let rosberg sit at home popping his pimples. now that would be a good line-up. people would be shit scared to race us. can you say turn 1 incident. It would also bring a bit of class and reality to F1 racing.

According to Finnish tabloid Ilta-Sanomat, Ferrari has exercised its option on Kimi Raikkonen to race for the Italian team next season. This means the Finn would have signed a five-year-contract.

this webber quote gave me a smile. let's hope it's true.

"It would be a bit silly to walk away from Williams and not have anything, wouldn't it? I am very, very relaxed. I'll be here next year."

"People might think it's a bit of a risk for us to leave the team but Flavio has rarely been wrong in his decisions. I'm confident we can get something better, otherwise I would have stayed there wouldn't I?"

i am so excited right now. If webber does get a drive with renault it will be a major coup for him. and a chance that we will see some nice finishes for once, instead of just good quali perfomances.

Reading between the lines I think Williams was unable to enforce their option because there was doubtless a clause in the contract that required a certain amount of point to be scored by the German round or a certain position to be maintained in the championship. Frank wouldn't have let Mark go.

I bet Williams will be in the top 3 runners next year.

Hope Renault can find their form again after the loss of the mass-dampner. They went well in 2005 without it, hopefully the loss of this plus the switch to Bridgestones next year doesnt cause them to fall back to the mid-field (and leaving Webber in a similar position should he sign with them).

yeah alonso said that too. he claimed mass damper doesn't make that much difference. he said tyres were the big problem and they didn't have a handle on the rear end set-up.

i will be pissed off if williams do well next year. it just proves that mark got the short stick AGAIN!

Gascoyne is a good guy for a bottom dwelling team lookig to become a midfield team. He is a manager, not a techincal powerhouse. Williams need technical brilliance if they are goignt o turn it all around in a season. Gascoyne will charge a fortune and not bring anything they need ...well thats my take on it anyway

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
