I see now,

thanks Dezz.

steady on boys...im not saying i know which 1 of the 2 it is...im just saying whoever told whoever could've easily made a mistake with the numbers

so we can assume its either 8 evo 9's or 9 evo 8's :O

i know SFA about evos...so dont look at me :P

Dezz,

It was a genuine thank-you for drawing my attention to the fact that my post seemed to be aimed at Ruffels, when that was never my intention.

It was a sarcasm-free thanks.

Phew! these forums can be a real minefield!

I gotta learn how to get what I meant in to print!

Peace

lol, relax mate...i wasnt even havin a go at ya :O

just sounded like saff thought i had the facts on this stuff....i was just pointing out to everyone that 8 evo 9's and 9 evo 8's is a very easy mistake to make :D

Don't the cops call off pursuits after 150km anyway? Then call in the air wing.

Don't have a problem with them driving fast cars. Would expect them to be supporting the local car industry tho. Parts ought to be cheaper too.

And whats with the low profile lights they are using now? Just to make them harder to spot? Or do they have 'clearance issues' =p

the point of my post was to point out that rather then doubting his information based on something youve seen doesnt mean what Ruffles posted was wrong. He was told they were EVO9s by someone reputible in the industry that would more then likely know the difference between an EVO9 and an EVO8.

Assuming that just because the car has the EVO8 wheels which i already took into account it doesnt mean it is one. Lots of people put different wheels on cars for whatever reason. GC8 STis often put bugeye rims on them and some leftover bug eyes (yeah wonder why they were left over... theyre almost as ugly as the new shape) even got sold with the 04 titanium coloured rims but that doesnt make them a the sexier 04-05 model (which if u took a similar side on shot not showing any real distinguishing marks other then the rims is hard to tell them apart).

My point being that you shouldnt have a go and be a know it all without seeing the whole picture rather then trying to be a know it all i take it on face value.

As you've found things can be easily misinterpreted on the internet... yay for non expression text.

,.|.. o_O ..|.,

..you shouldnt have a go and be a know it all...

My my.

Them's Fightin' words!

Maybe a bit of past injustice and self-doubt in there eh?

Henceforth, you may be known as, "Righteous Defender of the Terribly Misunderstood".

Well, now we know where we stand, we can all have a good lie down.

This should make your VIC guys cruises into exciting high speed chases as they will now stand a chance of keeping up!!!!!!

Unless you have a GTR, you wont stand a chance of getting away.

lol, relax mate...i wasnt even havin a go at ya

Nah not all the facts dude but just a thanks for the most logical explanation of the thread so far.

honestly get over the disagreement, who cares and lets start bitching over cops getting evos...

sif... all their cars should be evos and GTRs.

unless i fail making it in... then they should all have to drive daewoos and hyundais

do you guys drive around with no license plates?

you do realise they dont need to catch you, just get your plate and they have more than enough info to catch you ....thats if you dont wrap urself around a pole before they get to you...

    • Ironically the GTT was quite reliable in the 7 years of ownership. From memory I've only had to replace a radiator and coilpacks out of inconvenience
    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
