good one numbnuts, that's thailand. Been posted here a few times :D 1JZ and 2JZ conversions are common as fcuk there, and they're very powerful. It costs a lot more to do an RB swap than it does to do a 1JZ swap, so when you have lemons, you make lemonade... or 1JZade. Most of the thai guys are active members on cefiro-thailand forums.

yeah, what the fark is wrong with a 1J conversion in a cefiro? i reckon it looked alright.

also the sitcker on the back that says: CEFIRO THAILAND is a hint that the country of origin is not in fact 'arab land'...

lol quick with the flamage on Hella Flush there guys...... :D

I'm sure it was a honest mistake!

Neways, I am also a fan of the 1-2JZ engine in Cefiro but easier and cheaper options in Oz land

Ando

hate wagon begins...

didnt even read or look at stickers - saw one ugly one with 1jz and massive tursbo... and one clean rb26... will correct topic title to satisfy

cant edit topic title... if you want since you took offence to it monkey - convert arab land to thai land...

Edited by Hella Flush

haha I didn't take offense... I call every one numbnuts when they goof up. Topic title corrected.

Although calling a cef ugly just because it has a 1JZ is a bit uncalled for. Consider that cefs in thailand don't come with RB20DE, RB20DET or RB25DE engines.

The best engine they get is the RB20E, which is an SOHC 2.0L RB (sorta like a 2.0L version of the Aussie RB30E engine out of the VL and R31). Next best was the RB24S which is a 2.4L 6 cylinder carby engine.

We have under 40 cefiro's here in the whole of the UK. All were imported from Japan and most are the RB20E engine with automatic box's. 2JZ into a cefiro. You folks in Aus and Malasia are just on another level to most of the tuners here in the UK.

Most tuners in the UK wouldn't know where to start, there are a few acceptions (WMS, Mayer etc) However a lot of people would just dismiss it as something that "can't be done"

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
