Can I make a suggestion.

to prevent further piss taking, by others, on you....

you don't post on here about your dyno queen until you run in the low 11's or a 10 at some mph that you think you can.

you're just making a fool of yourself.. talking yourself up.. LNEMUP bro.. and so forth..

then making excuses about diffs and radiator caps.

sorry to sound harsh but you had it comming.

SK predicted a 12.5 at 120mph and you arc'd up and said

Listen buddy

if your so confident in your car

LNEMUP

Any time

Wheres your so called RB31 In a dream or what

just like a little kid who's just been told his toys aren't as good as he thinks they are...

and what happened?

you didn't even get the time he predicted.

then ADRIAN just posted he drove a car with 285rwkw (probably with stock diffs and radiator cap on) and got a much better time and a higher terminal speed.

props to you for getting such numbers from an internally stock rb25.. I've got no issues there, but your attitude just pisses me off.

LNEMUP.... for f**ks sake..

was 2SIK4U2C2BME4U taken?

attitude adjustment needed in isle 5.

:O it's funny, because it's true.

Yeah, i suggest you get your dyno calibrated or something, coz with 500rwhp which is around 370rwkw you should have a much higher speed than 118MPH......... Also i find it hard to beleive a GT35/40 can make 370rwkw on 18psi, your MPH indicates it doesnt, so maybe fix your dyno.

Im not going to buy into that argument, but in watching the runs I think its fair to say that

on this occasion it might have been more driver inexperience rather than the car. the car sounds

really snappy, im sure it will go fast, I think you should run it a few more times before you start making drastic changes as you really dont have any data to go off as you really didnt do a clean pass.

dont stress, ive had customers that have had 10+ runs in a day before they got it all right.

Be patient, it will happen.

At MR GTST

Wheres your piece of shit

lets see you race

first time out in this car

at like i said i was only crossing the line in third gear

you wanna argue ill meet you somewhere and be happy to argue wit you there you said case

adrian drove the car first and second passes doing 13s and 12s running 114 and 117 or so MPH

then he got a third pass and ran 11s at 125 so like i said

when i run the number ill post it back on here so you can wank over it and type somemore shit and jealous comments about it

you dickhead

bahahahahaha...

1.) my piece of shit is at work.. why does that interest you?

2.) first time out in that car.. then why talk it up LNEMUP... still can't get over how cocky (or should that be cockhead) you are. and when I asked you a while ago on this thread about your drag racing experience you dribbled on about a whole heap of shit that you've raced so you should have the experience to drag race properly, gearchanges, get the revs right, launch and so forth..

3.) Adrian doesn't talk up what he does. he just goes about his business and runs ridiculously good numbers.. so again, you have this ego about yourself/car that reminds of the young lebs I see around the shops who have taken steroids and done bicep and chest work and walk around with a chip on their shoulders.. maybe they had the license plate you originally wanted.

Why would I be jealous of ANYTHING that you have accomplished on here?

you accomplised a figure, on a dyno, which YOU calibrate. you've done nothing special.. you bolted on a bunch of parts that has been designed and made by other companies.

installed a computer "designed by another company" and made changes to parameters on it to change timing, fuel, air, and tuned your car to within an inch of it's life.

just because your car has been on the dyno for 11ty hundred hours doesn't make you my hero.

and I've got news for you.. when you run your 10 second pass, and post on here to show people the size of your E-WANG, I will reply with a "Congrats"

that don't mean I am jealous or wanking over anything..

you need to grow up mate.

if you want to impress me (and you know deep down you need people to be impressed with you), do something that others can't.

anyone with money and time can bolt things to a engine and do what you did.

go beat a world record using nothing but your own capabilities..

then it's impressive..

anyway, I assume you already don't have many friends due to your attitude, or you're upset cause your teacher kept you back for afternoon detention or something, I'll leave you to your penis extention.. I mean dyno numbers.

hope you run your 10 so we don't have to see your cocky updates on how you're "GUNNA" do this and that..

best regards

I estimated the first time out ET and TS pretty well, not to be a smart ass, but to simply voice my opinion. I based this estimate on;

1. The power curve of the engine, it’s as peaky as you would expect

2. The heat soak it is going to suffer with no ambient air feed and no heat shielding

3. The obvious inexperience of the driver and his crew

4. The total concentration on engine, with all other items seemingly ignored

So shall we have another guessing competition for its second attempt?

Hopefully the driver will have learnt a few things, the heat soak issues will have been fixed and the crew will be able to get the car to complete more than 2 runs. Without any other changes I reckon;

11.9 at 123 mph

Anybody else care to have a go?

:D cheers :D

PS; keep in mind I tried to warn of items 1 and 2 and got insults in response.

12.9 @ 111mph (15psi, bogged launch, shakedown)

12.0 @ 116mph (20psi, spun hard in first, stuff-up)

11.7 @ 121mph (20psi, better launch, happy driver and owner)

Adrian doesn't talk up what he does. he just goes about his business and runs ridiculously good numbers..

Time to calm down. Anyone else would have been sent packing by now.

Continue and i'll throw ya some points.

You've done nothing really constructive since you started this thread with more claims than a Demtel Add.

Its almost bordering on me deleting it.

The flack you are now getting now is a direct result of your arrogant attitude to begin with.

You can say it will "run 10z"... i could say that about my car aswell... who is more correct? No-one.

Until it does run a time, i suggest you stop saying "it will do this, it will do that"

This is a happy place. Not a place to come sprog about how good you are.

LNEMUP ..hhahahah

what a great saying..

:turned:

Adrian, Buster, Pauly D, as much as id hate too admit, this sounds like the RB25 version of the book, and it also has the sideline comments from people ive never seen at the track. this is big - But Adrian is still the best driver ever - and the best looking by far.

12.9 @ 111mph (15psi, bogged launch, shakedown)

12.0 @ 116mph (20psi, spun hard in first, stuff-up)

11.7 @ 121mph (20psi, better launch, happy driver and owner)

You're too kind....no...really :turned:

Adrian

it took you three goes , 11.1@ 119 back to back, fist drive ever in someone elses car, im yoda, your O B One HA Ha Ha

You're still far better looking though - and younger!

hahaha don't tell everyone that the book exists for GTST not everyone knows :turned:

This ones the armchair edition, but my favourite bloke anywhere at any time is Adrian. Damn, he's just so good I can barely contain myself.

:D

(Be careful who you mess with, Stuie!)

    • This. A 3d wheel alignment is like $120...just take it to the shop. Since theres probably multiple adjustments that need to be made after changing something. Mine has front/rear lower arms, traction rods, tension rods, camber arms, toe arms, front upper arms, hicas kit, sway bars and coilovers. I measure from the edge of the bolt holes on the originals and set the same length on all the adjustable stuff to dial it as close as I could to OEM. Took it straight for alignment; it didnt feel right at all...after alignment, it feels perfect. Similarly i've just changed the springs on another car; and I still needed multiple adjustments to bring it back in spec.

    • Its a well known brand in New Zealand; its a rebrand of the Rhino RAV3.  I don't know what the wiring difference *is* between the rev.1 (installed about 15 years ago) and rev.2; but as you say I would think its reasonable that it uses the same immobiliser relay circuits. I had a look but couldnt see a similar harness; but didnt move things around since I didnt want to mess with it   It was one of AVS well known Authorised Installers; I spoke to AVS themselves about it but theyre unsure hence seeking advice more so from the skyline community who are more familiar with the actual car and its wiring. Im in Auckland; but the installer is on the other side of the city so hes very reluctant to come back to even look at it to confirm something isnt connected into the wrong wire.  I dont want to drop the name since they *did* do a really good job for the most part. Everything is very tidy and he fully replaced all the alarm wiring, all the sensors, the wiring to the door motors, installed a switch which was never installed in the first place...really happy with the alarm install itself..just not this one issue. We all make mistakes, if it is the alarm, I just want my fuel pump getting proper switched, fused, power as it was; without having to shell out for an auto electrician to switch a wire and tell me it was the alarm.
    • Even with the piston at TDC there was room for it to drop, but I don't think it can drop fully into the cylinder, the problem you have is that you need something pushing against the valve to hold it up so you have enough room to put the new stem seal on and the spring etc.  I used compressed air only because putting rope in the cylinder seemed a bit risky to me, I know people have done it countless times before like this. Overall it's a pain in the ass job. Honestly you'd probably be better off taking the head off because the risk of dropping something in the engine and the finicky-ness of it all is very stressful. If you are going to attempt it though i 10000% recommend a 36050 valve spring/keeper tool. I had both the traditional lever type and after doing 1 cylinder it was absolute pain to get those valve keepers in place, even with 2 people. That 36050 is amazing, you do have to push hard to get them in place but it works perfectly almost every time. Back to my actual issue I think my engine is just tired and old and the rings have gone bad. The comp numbers (cold, no oil) were: Cyl 1 -129psi Cyl 2 - 133psi Cyl 3 - 138psi Cyl 4 - 137psi Cyl 5 - 157psi Cyl 6 - 142psi   Cylinder 5 and 6 having the most carbon on them.
    • Who did you have do the installation? I actually know someone who is VERY familiar with the AVS gear. The main point of contact though would be your installer.   Where are you based in NZ?
