yeah i spend all this money on my skyline and chase hp so i can drive the speed limit and obey every blow ass law our money hungry media driven top bloke government decides to implement.

ill also drive along the shitty bumpy roads in sydney with pride knowing that all the money that gets taxed by the same top bloke government from me is going towards bullshit fixed speed camera revenue raising machines that do f**k all to slow people down instead of the roads themselves.

then smile gleefully when im given orders to "move on" when im doing absolutely nothing other than enjoying the nite air by the ever so freindly boys in blue from a public place in a country that takes me for well over 10k a year in tax.

and when i get pulled over for a breath test ill answer the women officer who awesomely got over a 75 uai and decided she wanted to better society and right all the wrongs by policing traffic with the upmost of respect when she tells me im getting breath tested and if i "understand" what is happening to me.

then when officer dogooder follows me home from work pulls me over and defects me for my gauges ill agree with him that they shouldnt be there and clearly point out the differences to my few gauges that i use to measure the goings on of my beloved car are absolutely different to all the stuff taxis drive around with on their dashes and all the gps systems every courier in the city has all up on their dashes and how completely outside of the law i am for taking pride in the car i own and making it nice for myself.

yes street racing is dumb.

yes it should be against the law to do it.

but i really dont see the need for all u guys to jump on here and act like u never breach a law in this perfect country of ours and how much of tool this guy is for making the mistake of getting caught up in the moment adrenaline pumping etc and giving the car he owns which is well capable a quirt against someone else.

you cant blame him for seeking advice once he has gotten caught, he will surely learn his lesson from it.

when he comes on here for the second time for this then get stuck in :D

i mean what makes you right and me wrong???????your "mentality"pff come on man.

i mean i could say sell your skyline cause your giving them a bad name.the slow 5hit box skyline that

computer geeks drive and play all day on skylinesaustralia site...

everyone has there own view i guess.

take extra care now! easy on that gas pedal i dont want you to risk a speeding fine or that old lady

drag you off in her gemini after shopping

Hahaha, i'm pissing myself laughing here.... you're kidding right? :D

Hrm, lets see... there are a couple of things that say i'm right and you're wrong... such as COMMON SENSE, and THE LAW.

omg uleh! i'm so sorry! I just realised.... i'm not hektik enough to be driving a skyline... i keep forgetting to drive like a knob every time i hop behind the wheel, keep forgetting to go out and 'drift' and act hardcore, forgetting to nail it at every set of lights every time some 16 year old in his commonwhore pulls up beside me! They failed to tell me those were pre-requisites of skyline ownership upon purchase of my vehicle.... how dare they not tell me?!!??!

I'm so sorry that i've been leaving bad impressions of skylines with everyone who sees me driving on the street, because they would be SOOOOOO upset at someone who follows the road rules, and that they don't have to worry about me doing DUMB SHIT around them and causing damage/injury to them/anyone else around.

A lot of you guys do really suck.

I feel sorry for the guy who got busted, but thats life. You knew there was a chance it could happen. It happened and now youve got to face up to the consequences.

Decide what you will plea. If the cop did not see you clearly or does not have enough 'proof' that you were street racing, and has no video footage or camera/speeding evidence, then you may be able to get away with it. Its your word against his. If it wasnt a highway patrol car, then there will be absolutely no primary evidence other than the coppers word. Get a good lawyer, make sure you have a good story. If you outrightly deny it, you may get away with it. Its their word against yours. While it may be a case of guilty until proven innocent, prove that you werent street racing. Use your head and come up with something, or pay a lawyer to do it.

My suggestion for next time - Buy a quicker car and make sure you dont get pulled up !

You feel sorry for someone who was clearly, by his own admission, breaking the law? Riiiight.....

As for your 'suggestion for next time'.....

I posted in another thread on this very subject (surprise surprise, there have been about 3 others in the last week) the new penalties they are looking at bringing in for 'hoons' who run from the police.

these penalties include:

* Immediate confiscation of the vehicle (not sure if they said it would be confiscated for 3 months, or forfeiture to the crown immediately)

as well as

* 2 Years Jail Time

as well as

* a $15,000 fine

Tommyk - you're not friends with Glen Miller are you?

He's the guy that Today Tonight had so much fun with a couple of years ago... the Blue AU XR8 Falcon [FORCED] who was going to "Hit the NOS, and try and take a couple of the cops with him"

I feel more compassion toward someone who has admitted their crime, than to someone who has denied it wholeheartedly. Hes guilty, he got busted.

I feel sorry that the poor bloke will now have to do the hard yards. If its the only way he will learn, then fair enough. Thats what the LAW is there for.

My suggestion for 'next time' was a case of early morning SARCASM.

I dont care who the bloke is and I dont know him. I couldnt care less.

He wanted some advice/help/assistance. If you cant offer it, keep your trap shut. If he wanted an answer as to why he shouldnt have street raced, he would have asked.

I think its time to close this thread

Wow,

this old argument again...... I’m starting to get really tired of it... if you guys want to brag about smoking some one at the lights or winge and expect simplify for your stupidity there are plenty of forums for it.... try Honda hookups.com kill stories section.... some of you guys know what i mean :D

Anyway, I totally agree with Madbung and AzzurrA on this.... Hell most if not all of us have done plenty of stupid things on the road... but we get flamed for telling others that their actions’ are stupid. All we are trying to do is part with some of our "wisdom" regarding the consequences of these types of actions (and I don't mean purely by a license standpoint but the danger you guys create to others around you)....

We don't want to end up being seen in the community as that "hoon forum" like that Holden forum from Perth that ended up with TV coverage cause of some of it's moronic members who choose to tell the entire world how they broke the law.... it's as dumb as admitting to arson, robbery or any other crime....

A lot of the guys here post things like your a dong, take it to the track... and rightly so... these are guys that have most likely lost points and do take it to the track... and you guys that are 2 fast and 2 furious for the rest of us, you don't get any brownie points from any of us for being hektic….

that’s my 2 cents Kthanx

so lemme get this straight, you start a thread calling us all wankers coz our boost gauges read low psi/bar coz there in cars....

yet ask for advice when you get caught street racing? lol.

yeah ok paul walker.

The difference between those Adelaide Car forums is that the only reason they got busted for street racing is cos they posted photos of their cars doing racing and burnouts... the guy on here is merely asking advice on his situ.

Anyway no one is saying street racing is good, but its like farting... everybody does it, not many admit to it!

As much as this is true in theory, in reality the chances of anybody in the justice system going against a cops word and taking yours (especially if you're young and male) is extremely slim. It's a fault of our justice system, and it's simply how it works. A good lawyer does have an ok chance, but I still wouldn't bet on it.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
