I've just brought a new O2 sensor and will change it soon, will let you guys know if it has helped my wallet. Mods that I have are a 3" exhaust from turbo back, FMIC, pod filter (with CAI set up), runs at 10 psi. I've also changed my fuel filter recently and my plugs as well, and am using an injector cleaner regularly (Redline). I also have an Emanage but it isn't tuned yet (this factor won't be helping me any either).

Does an atmo BOV make that much difference?

I've got an R33 S1

3 inch exhaust all the way to the turbo

atmo BOV (pssshhhhttttt!!!).

Standard boost.

I dont know how much fuel i'm using yet, havent really had it long enough to take note.

But i can tell it's going thru a fair bit more than i thought it would.

When i hear that pod filter sucking air, i can feel my wallet emptying.

Is this normal?

City driving in 4th, doing about 60kph, sitting on around 2200rpm.

Does rpm seem a bit high?

I drive an R32 GTR on 12psi with 245rwkw.

City = 500kms

Hwy = 600kms

R32 has 60L tank.

Why do i feel scepticle about those figures ??

I have a r33 gts-t with a pod, so i wouldn't be getting much more than 250hp at flywheel, I get 500 km

dun know nothin bout ur type of car what size motor u runnin? that is extremely bad fuel economy bro i'd b broke all the time!! 1 my mates got a bombed 355ci stroker powered commodore thats off its tits and it only averages around 18-19L/100km around town..

its the RB25DET NEO the same as the r34 gtt

fuel is killing me!

Just removed my old O2 sensor and am about to install the new one. When I took the old one off and shook it, it sounded like a set of maraccas! Definetely busted (and no I didn't shake it so much that it broke, it was like that when I took it off). The old O2 sensor was very easy to remove, I had no problems with the heat shield getting in the way because... I never had one! Either I never had one when I brought the car (4 years ago) or when I put the new exhaust on the installer never put it back on. Hmmmm... :P

This might be totaly wrong, but I used to Own a commodore, and I know when ever the battery got old in the thing, my fuel consuption would drop from about 500 km's to 350 km's out of a standard 60L tank, and when i saw this happening, I would replace the battery, and it would always bring the fuel consuption right again.

I have talked to a few mechanics, and they said, when a car's battry is starting to get old, it will not put as much powerinto the ECU and computer, and there for is not working at its peak. So you will always seem to use more fuel cos the computer is just pumping the fuel through and not shutting down when it is ment to. Or some crap like that.

All i know is it worked for the commodore, maybe someone can try it and let me know if it works with a skyline too.

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?  
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.  
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them 
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
