well mud you could of told me where to get the gts badge from instead of trying to be smart about it. i know they exist but i dont know where to get them

Not trying to be a smart arse.

I do or do not , there is not try.

I got mine from a group buy on the forum years ago.

I'm sure if enough people were interested you could get a metal place to make some up?

theory is, dont put a gtr badge on your car, unloess it can beat gtr's

bunch of fags

Not even.. Dont put a gtr badge on it unless it ' IS ' a gtr. My first skyline was a r33 gts-t with a gtr badge, i ripped that shit off quick smart. Now i actually own a gtr it pisses me off twice fold. Just a few nights ago a saw a white r33 gtst parked at 7-11 kawana with a gtr badge on it, i felt like ripping that badge off myself.

GTR = Have GTR Badge

GTS = have GTS-t Badge

HSV = Have Slow badge

Bear = Shit in the woods

Pope = catholic

Drummer of deaf leppard = Drum with one arm

See the theme...

;)

I am one of the lucky few who have a foot in each camp.

I have a R33 GTR V-Spec in pristine condition that I use for my weekend toy.

I also have a very nice R33 GTS-T Series II that I use as my daily driver.

I love both of my Skylines with a passion (just ask the wife) and I appreciate each of them for what they are. They are two very different cars and I would never put a GTR wing or badge on my GTS-T because I am proud to own it as a GTS-T.

And on the seventh day God created the Nissan Skyline and to own one is like nothing else.........

I completely agree.

People need to be happy with the car they own. If you want a GTR so bad, wait another year instead of buying a GTS-T and save for the difference on a GTR. Don't go and buy a GTS-T and pretend it's a GTR. It's never going to be.

I drive a 1990 R32 GTS-T and I am damn proud of my car. I love it. I wish I owned a GTR sure, everyone does, nearly everyone anyway, but I don't.

In my opinion, putting GTR badging on anything but a GTR, detracts from the authenticity of the original product. GTR owners are not better people than GTS-T owners, although especially on the coast here, we see alot of "I have more money so I'm superior to you and wouldn't say hi to you on a cruise" attitude, which I think is fu****g pathetic. However; the least us GTS-T owners can do, is allow authentic GTR owners the credit that is due where their ride is concerned.

That's just me and I am that way because I hate fakeness. People are different. Wankers will always put GTR badges on their GTS-Ts. They will always put HSV badges on their not-even-s-pack commodores and they will always think they are the king sh!t for doing it and that noone can tell that it's not the real deal. Just laugh at them and move on.

Ben.

hey dynamix that white fake GTR could possibly be the one that i see all the time in caloundra acting like a tool. he drives past like its fast and the furious and then laughs at you then pins it. hes done it a few times to me, i just shake my head and laugh looking for popo to bust his arse

in town here we've got a series 1 burgundy r33 with GTR badges and kit. here's the performance of it-

Natro rb20 auto rwd.

As far from a GTR that you can get in a r33 skyline. he's going to race some guy in a commodore and get beaten and then there will be some stooge going round saying his stock vn beat a gtr, so imagine how much it would beat a gts-t.

i can understand putting the bodykit or wing on (only if it had the stock little s1 r33 wing), but to put the badges on is stupid.

Shame on him, sounds like another ass clown. If i see him i'll ask him why he has the gtr badge.. And why he wears clown shoe's..

i wonder how these ppl feel if a real GTR drives past them....

we had two GTR R33s tonight at the same time in a servo, after we did the talking and photo shooting, there is this fake R33 with GTR kit, wing and badges came up and tried to show off in front of us. he did not even change the side-indicators.....how lame, and the thing is he would not admitt its a GTS-t, he thinks GTR skylines are just done up GTS-Ts ( he even asked me where i got my GTR wing from)........ ppl like these just make me wanna get out of the skylines.... shame...

i saw a VN commodore with GREDDY sticker across the whole front window in nambour...... says it all.
funny you say that darrin ive seen that one as well but the one i laugh most at is the new pulsar hatch with the massive nismo sticker across the front windscreen

What about a Daewoo with a massive APEXi sticker across the entire rear window and a Hyundai with a TRUST sticker across the front...very very lame

That is even more GHEY than a GTR badge on a GTS-t :( Why pretend to have something you don't...be proud of what you have :(

Just like Rhinorebel said I could've also had a late model R33 GTR too but I purchased my GTS-t for my own reasons.

GTS-t and proud of it :(

LOL @ Frankxy post!!!

Thats just lame and shows how far some skyline'rs go just to show off to their 14 year old girlfriends. THEN cant even admit its a GTST. hahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

LOL

well what if you have gtr engine and running gear is it ok then? lol

yes i know a gtr is a gtr

but guess what?? gtr's are overrated!

yes the lauch quick

yes the look nicer than a gtst

but who cares?

gtst are good

gtrs are for show ponys

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
