Thanks Terry, you dont know the name of the place and are they fairly generous with highly modded skylines .

I dont know thier name but I will take a look, they are fairly generous.

You buy a supra and I'll shit in the aircon vent. :)

Mate i dont expect you to shit in ur aircond vent. Is that an Ipswich thing. :) .

Dunno what i will do mate just keep my options open. I might by Shanes GTR when he finishes it. Thats what most people do sell there car just as they spend ten years building it.

awww look at u, ur trying to insult me

Hmm, heres a question for the wise. How much power can a N1 engine reliably support. I know stock RB26 is good for 300+ rwkw..

From wiki:

The water cooling channels in the block are enhanced for better flowing. The block, and internal components are also strengthened. The pistons have 1.2 mm (0.0 in) top rings, but otherwise as standard. The connecting rods are the same as standard, and the crankshaft is standard but balanced. The specifications of the camshafts were also improved for power. The N1 engine uses the same parallel twin turbocharger layout but with improved turbochargers. The N1 engine also received an upgraded oil pump and water pump, to improve the cooling and lubrication of the engine.

from a guess id say ~350rwkw, but with every std engine they will blow when u lean on them and when u expect longevity from them.

only 350rwkw ?? I thought many standard rb26's could pull that amount although obviously it would definately be pushing the upper limits... i was hoping that the N1 could push out 400rwkw reliably.. im looking at buying a 33GTR with an N1 engine tuned for 396rwkw.. :D any more thoughts on this ?

Its all in the tune, and how well you treat it, I dont see why it wouldnt hold that power comfortably as long as everything else is up to speed to support the power level

Mightnt be a bad idea to wind down the boost a little and make sure the tune is really good before ou thrash it around too much

i dont think its the one your thinking of but what one is ? I heard someone else mention a white 33 gtr with an N1 motor but wouldnt say what was wrong with it.

ive gone a bit off this one as im after more of a track car and that one looks like its been setup for drag.. and i doubt that motor will survive many track days.. too much power through stock N1. Not to mention its ugly as sin :teehee:

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
