That sucks hombre! Sounds like an interesting project.

Similar note: The airport now has an actual waiting bay and it's free for 20 min. To prevent people going in and leaving after 15 min and coming straight back, there's a camera that snaps your number plate as you enter. Interesting tech.

sick belly, need to be near amenities, lol.

nerdy stuff is an EtherTen board(arduino variant) setting it up and programming it to be a car counter for a driveway, but will ignore exiting cars, and ignore pedestians, while triggering a PTZ camera to pause its patrol, and swing around to capture the number plate of the entering car.

wait whats this ignore pedestrians so no upskirts pics?

I forgot to say that the counter once up and running, will be viewable from a web browser to see how many cars have entered that day, that year, and how many spaces are left

Nicely done. Sounds like some nifty engineering ther.

So jelly. I wish my job involved jet setting to Japan and getting to drive sexy JDM cars (she can keep that rental-Yuck!). I'd come back 10kgs heavier from all that awesome Asian food and trying to tell the gate staff that the 34 cat back system I have stuffed down my shirt is actually a very high tech spinal brace.

Thats ok im a great replacement

I dunno if my 34 ('The Ark') would like that very much. There is a single blonde Silvia driver in Victoria ;)

Milk bar is a term in some parts of Australia for suburban local shops or general stores. They are known as tuck shops, delicatessens or delis in South Australia and Western Australia, and as corner stores in Queensland and New South Wales. Milk bars are traditionally a place where people pick up milk and newspapers, and where school children purchase milkshakes or lollies.

Wadyaknow

they also used the term back in the 40-60s in the us, and here for the shops that sold milk shakes.

these were a local hangout/past time for youth.

I have also used the term for local take away shops that sell hamburgers and chips, etc.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
