Nastazia
I put in $50 or 34L on Wed and got 250kms out of it - (run down to red light). I have an auto fairly stock 33 running 190HP on stock boost... Is anyone else in an auto getting the same? MacGuyver
I've got an auto as well and manage to get 400km on a tank before I cave in and get some fuel, at this stage it's been sitting just above the 'E' for a while now. This is done on 'grandpa' city driving with full exhaust, FMIC, EBC, pod and piggy back ECU. I used to only get 250km's from absolutely-full-tank to just above the 'E' mark. I just changed my O2 sensor and then I could reach the magic 400+ mark, then I got my ECU tuned and things seem to have improved a little more still. WogsRus
hay guys, i replaced my 02 sensor today with an NGK item, and i had a long discussion with the bosch guys down here in tas. THE EL FALCON O2 is not anywhere the same, but somehow it manages to work, the heating element is different, and the output thershold is different. I have noticed a BIG difference in the NGK item, the sensor is simmilar to stock but has different inside parts. I also replaced the ECu temperature sensor, the car is sooo much better now, going to see how it goes with the fuel economy. I also replaced the plugs gapped to 1.1mm and i have to change them back to .8. It deffinatly pulles better with .8's Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/120328-fuel/page/7/#findComment-2475702 Share on other sites

StuiE
I get around 450km out of 50L with my RB30E+T only mods are 3" catback and pod, I'm pretty happy with that, it's f**kall, if anything more than when it was NA I Just filled up my car for the first time with the rb26 in and only got 235 kms out of the tank!!i was shocked my fuel consumption halfed from the rb20. Im still running it in so i wasnt thrashing it. Im running a microtech ecu, is something wrong? do i need to retune or is this the reality of an rb26 running 310 rwhp ? It's the Microtech, it doesn't have closed loop (unless new ones do?). StuiE
The O2 sensor controls fuel mixtures when cruising, to give good fuel economy, The Microtech doesn't use this and is rich all the time, not just when when flogging it, not flogging it would still use less fuel but not as much less. NeonKomet
Hi guys, I'm pretty new to the forum, so what better way to break the ice than to let you know how my fuel economy is going. I get about $50 worth out of 200-250k's, I'm yet to stretch my tank out to more than 300k's, but anything's possible Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/120328-fuel/page/7/#findComment-2520613 Share on other sites

FLYIN_HiGh
I average about 400 km's to a full tank. makes it hard when the petrol price is $1.50/L. good to see its a little lower atm. fr0st
play r 32, you should probably invest in a wideband sensor like this Although you don't have closed loop, you should still be able to adjust your fuel maps so that when your cruising your sitting on an AFR of 15 or so to conserve fuel. Just get a mate with a laptop and go cruising I'm guessing your tuner probably only did a WOT tune if your using that much fuel EDIT: Just forgot, my record so far is 8.9L/100km with a fair bit of nanna driving. I got 470km off 42 L... gotta love the RB20 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/120328-fuel/page/7/#findComment-2539536 Share on other sites
