Further to this I've now been informed that the date for this will be Dec 2nd and 3rd and will involve a minimum of 4 runs per day and will cost aorund $1K to enter.

Will be Dutton Rally regs too - so LS2, normal sprint track regs (no cage etc) and no navigator.

yeah it will be super quick. Neil did the buladelah climb which was pretty wide, the old pac is even wider....

and $1k is cheap for an event from the dutton guys :)

Agree it will be quick If you havent done a Tarmac Rally/Road event this will intimidate much more than Race track big balls + wide road = high speeds + big trees = yeha

Wanna know more about "Race to the Pie" ??

http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/sh....php?t=67204771

Guys,

I am allowed to release the following "rumors"

(they are still "rumors" as there are still a few loose ends to finalise - but "they shouldn't be a problem" I was told..)

website coming soon.... (www.racetothepie.com)

Make of them what you will... (and spread the word I was told)

It starts near a bridge and ends near a pie shop

It is on the weekend of Sat 2nd / Sun 3rd December 2006

It's 4.5 Kilometres in length

There will be a limit of 150 cars

It will NOT require a roll cage, and hence NOT needing full CAMS regs in regards to vehicle preparation.. - Obviously there will be other regs that you have to abide by - Fire Extinguisher, Helmet, Clothing, Road Registered and must pass scruitineering etc...

Entry will be under $1,000 per driver (how far under is yet to be finalised)

There will be opportunity for Driver AND co driver runs in the same car.

Vehicles will start at 30 Sec intervals

It is expected that you will get 6-8 runs each per day

As I said, these are the only "rumors" I can release at this stage

So... This looks like the opportunity for those of you who say you are quick on the "insert road here" to prove it.....

What is that saying again...???

When the Flag drops.....

i would be in like flyn but considering i can run 5 track days for under a grand I think common sense tells me sit this one out. :)

So how many track days and cases of piss do i get for the $2200 Dutton Vic entry? Damn the torch that was passed to me and Jamezilla, its now our job to show how ordinary Snowman and Scotsman are :)

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
