Hi Guys

Not sure this is the site to get some help with part numbers, would be greatly appreciated.

Could you please find part numbers for the following parts and V35 Skyline VINs

Engine control module (ecu)

Gearbox

5 Speed 3.0 VIN is HV35202223 (auto)

5 speed 3.5 VIN is PV35500185 (auto)

8 Speed 3.5 VIN is PV35400281(auto)

6 Speed 3.5 VIN is PV35450505 (manual)

Trying to see if can convert an 8 speed that is broken and can not be replaced to a 5 speed auto.

Thanks, I hope

ECU part #s, although the 3rd one fell right on the change over for 2 part #s, and strangely my FAST couldnt decide which one. But there seems to be about 4 part #s that are interchangeable.

I dont understand this thread. What is the benefit of having my VIN 'fasted'?

It basically tells you all the factory info about a car and is used to find parts for that specific car (ie r33 gtst series 1 would have some different part numbers for some parts compared to a r33gtst series 2.

You can run your vin through the nissan fast software and it will tell you the model code that you can decode to find out all the extras your vehicle came with. It will tell you the year of production, the colour it came from the factory as, engine, transmission, if its a vspec or not.

An example. You are looking for say a r32 gtr and find a nice one that is claimed to be a 93 vspec. Looks like it has factory paint and its in good nick.

Say you run the vin through the nissan fast software and find out its not actually a 93 model vspec. Its just a normal gtr with a sticker and its been re-painted since factory but is being claimed to be a standard well looked after vspec. You can now go back to the dealer and say they are basically full of shit and that you checked out all the vehices info and it doesnt add up. So instead of thinking you have just bought a nice 32 vspec for an alright price you were lucky and dodged buying an over priced stock 32 gtr that could well be pretty dodgey.

Thanks for the explanation above. Ok, here's mine:

Vin# 6U9000HCR32292253

Model # KRCR32RGFS3

Chassis # HCR32-292253

Also, can you help me out with a part number for an accellerator cable for the above car?

Thanks,

Shaun.

not sure what a body control module is, what does it do and where located ?

mmmm, runs lots of the stuff in the cabin... fuel pump and other things

In the V35 it is located behind the passenger kick pannel.

Hope this helps

The module behind the pax kick panel is the Engine control module (ecu), part numbers in previous post. This also runs fuel pump etc. Did you mean something else ?

From the manual the ecu is located behind the glovebox compartment, perpendicular to the fire wall, with the bcm behind the kick pannel.

The above numbers do look to line up with other info I have for ecu's.

I was looking for some consistency between 5 speed auto and 8 speed auto with bcm and ecm, so I could easily convert to 5 speed. This does not seem to be the case.

Thanks

Thanks for that mate!

You'd think having the part number would make it easier to deal with Gosford Nissan, but nooooooo. Theyre anti skyline or something. I'd rather drive to Hornsby Nissan anyday.

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
