Went out last night to St Kilda and then Chapel St for drinks and watch mate dj.

Anyway on the way to St Kilda I spot another Skyline, its an R32 with a massive exhaust.

I drive past him on the right lane, he catches up to me and starts talking, I wind my window down before I can make any sense of him... see this young guy, he starts trying to taunt me with "I guarantee I can beat you easy, comon we go right now." Im like "My car is stock mate." He proceeds to tell me so is his... haha yeah right, an R32, with a massive cannon, monster tachos and sounds like a jet plane with BOV going off every second.

Anyway I understand some of you get really excited when you see another sports car, let alone a Skyline but seriously that kind of attitude is super dorky.

If your reading this, what Ive got to proove to you? Nothing by a long stretch, theres always someone faster than you so relax, and enjoy your car, no need to be a hero, if you wonna impress me go and show me how you pick up girls at clubs or on the street. Then I may respect you more.

Besides even if I wanted to go you, there was no where for a decent run as it was a 60 KM zone with pedestrians and cars all around.

On the way back I ran into about 2 or 3 Supras... some Asian boys... spoke to the ones in the black Supra... awesome guys, had a laugh and they complimented my car a few times.

It's funny, but with all the stuff that goes on, it's often those that talk the most that do the least.

That usually goes for most things such as:

How fast their car is

How many 'chicks' they have 'pulled'

How tough they are

and how many fights they have had.

If you're good at something, you know it, and don't need to tell anyone else.

If you're car is fast, why waste it on some donkey in chapel st.

If you can pull loads of chicks, why tell your mates? The last chick you pulled might now be his girlfriend, which would really freak him out.

If you're really tough, then good on you, I hope the thought gives you comfort when you're in Gaol with Chester the molester sitting in your cell with a little smile on his face.

If you've had loads of fights then then you're probably an arsehole anyway.

It's funny, because most people know that it's true.

Dragging people off at the lights is to racing what beating up an old man is to boxing, or picking up a retired prostitute at 5am while pissed is to landing a hottie.

On a side note: I'm still bored.

Lots of racing around 3am-4am this morning on Dandy Road

But thats pretty much every friday/sat night.

Being i was still awake i hear a few imports have a go a number of times... although i think one needed a set of plugs, it was mis-firing something severe.

No screamers though last night. I heard the odd one every few weeks and it brings back sweet memories

sir-d - you should have put ur car in neutral, reved a couple of times, then put in drive and waited there. When the lights turn green, let the fool do what he wants to do and be a hero. He would have gotten caught for sure, then you can have a laugh at him

but what you did was honourable man, idiots like that r32 driver challenging for a race should have their cars replaced with little scooters. They dont deserve any high performance machines....

was taking a mate home today in my newly tuned r33 and a ford teratory turbo rolls past, took one look at me and cained it...I decided to give it a go for a bit..anyway in the end I though the Ford TT went really well...

sorry if this is off topic..

Id hate to think how much they drink...

Amazing really.. but then again reviews are usually off the scale so I think more to the 15-16 L mark.

My friend has a BA XR6 NA falcon, he gets 280 KMs from a full tank... he gives it a bit but not that much.

my bad, just had another look and thats for teh non turbo

so yeah 15-16L is probably a more realistic number

Similar thing happened to me with a WRX. Fool didn't see the cop car sitting quietly behind me. Lights turn green, he floors it...... guess what..... I nearly wet myself laughing when I drove past him pulled over....

I live on Dandy rd just up from Chapel st and the number of loud exhausts on crap cars, with their owners desperately trying to break traction despite their auto box is amazing... every now and then I hear some gate and some rb limiter and I have a little smile... the crotch rocket pilots are the worst tho, screaming past my window at fifty million km/h, there all nuts

oh and the maroon 33 with the stockie wheels that launched past my place the other day... the idea is to control the throttle or change gears, instead of bashing the limiter in first gear like 10 times... twas ghey

i lmao when people do this, i see it all the time. sometimes i wish there was no rev limiter and 'bang'. then they would be left wondering why it blew up.

the last time someone wanted to drag me i just ignored him next set of lights he calls me a pussy these people need to grow up.

    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
