Haha nah looks good too Munkyb0y! I like it! Not sure about the fog lights though. Some side skirts would set it off

(oh and your username is crap too ;))

you said wheels twice

and umm.... shuddup

:P

edit: the fog lights came with the car, and i havent been bothered sorting out the mess of wires. but agreed, they'll be gone soon.

skirts? meh, dont care for skirts much. unless there's a nice ass inside. lol.

Borgs, if u want to get rid of ur rims, ill be happy to take em off ya ;) Send us a PM if u wanna sort anything out

hehe soz m8 was outta town for a few days....as i said ill have to wait to see whats left in the kitty after chrissy, b4 i decide wether or not to keep the wheels....as there are a few more bolt ons im gunna try to get first, but your first in line when i get rid of them ;)

And on another topic, i personally think all Skylines in all their diff shapes, colours and styles r perfect just the way they are...(If the owner is happy with it... so am i)

For instance if everyones cars were built and fitted the way i think a Skyline should be...how boring would that be? damm :yucky: .

We should b thankful that we have such a large selection of parts interior/exterior ect to choose from, and guys willing to try them, to give their ride some kind of individuality. :)

besides that... there is nothing worse than ordering a cosmetic part you havnt seen in the flesh, or on another car of similar model...waiting for what seems like forever to get it, ripping open the box and fitting it just to relise it looks like shyt lol.

So yeh.. to all the guys that have taken the time out to post up their rides, i think they are all awsome

Keep'em coming.

dam that was a dribble fest and a half lol

Hey thanks. Yeah I have no idea if it is an aniversary model. The car came with that front bar when i got it fromm japan. Looks nice tho as u don't see to many with the same one. The dealer guy said it was a series 3 bar but i had a few others tell me different so i got no idea. i might post a pic of a front view to show the front better.

I've seen a couple of 40th anniv R33's before, and neither have had that front bar.. Was it optional only for 40th anniv or something?

btw looks nice jrocket. different look which is good.

neg 40th anniversary has a little badge on the rear pillar

I know..I own one...its not hard to remove the badges, and i've contemplated taking them off..

Links also owns a 40th anniv. model and has no badges, obviously the previous owner removed them...

Not only that.. He has series 1 head lights with a series 1 bonnet, 40th anniversary obviously had series 2 front lights and bonnet!!

Noobs, i thought some one would of picked it out! damnmate.gif

I saw the front bar, which is an optional bar available on the 40th anniv. R33's and closed the pics..didnt look at the lights or bonnet...Someone has obviously got hold of the bar (which is quite rare) and put it on an S1.

Definitely not a 40th anniversary model, but the bar is the MR bar which was available as an option on the 1998 40th anniversary R33's, as mentioned above. They don't all have it, just depends if the buyer ticked that option box...Its quite a rare bar though...Links' has it on his, and another member on here had it, but smashed and replaced it with the standard S2 bar + lip, which is porn

i posted before but 2 weeks ago interior was finished (except steering wheel) and also stereo

heres a couple pics from final battle

cheers...ben.

Great Ben, good to see you got in ready for Final Battle... post some pics on SCCS...

hey mate, yeh finally got her done the morning of final battle, i havent been on SCCS for a while lol too many forums... the stereo is coming out coz im goin all alpine, plus in all honesty the install needs redoing we whipped that up 3 days before final battle after we found some problems due to dodgy installing from the previous "proffessional" car audio installer.... also since the floor looks like shit, the new shop doin the install wants to fibreglass the floor... yes it will be riced up and shit but its all good, the new rb26 head goes on in 3 weeks... cant wait to run 30psi through it... made 496rwhp on 21psi so would be nice on 30 ( or more if all good) and while the motor is out the engine bay is being smoothed and painted.

p1r4t8r: hehe cheers, ill take that as a compliment :-p, dunno how my car would like that though hehehe nah all good

cheers...ben.

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
