We should all put money in for a 'novelty' car. It could be a massive Penis Shaped extravaganza of a car... Whenever a station is set up we could drive it ther and park it while they inspect it.

Stupid yes, pointless... yes aswell.

Haha that'd be funny as.

I'd just love to see their faces when a giant cock is coming towards them

lol, it would be bloody hilarious! Flinstones GTR with 4 people running past (without indicating or brake lights)

and someone in charge of opening cans of coke on gear change a'la blow off valve

Hahahaha

lol a teenage idiot on a pushbike was doing that the other night at HJs.. then 10mins later the same bunch of teenagers were running from the police lol...

HAHAHAHA sucked in

I was turning left the other day off Burke st onto exibition st and there was a cop standing on the corner. While I was waiting to turn he pulled out his note book and looked like he was writing down my number plates!

Looks like EPA letter for me.

a few months back i was coming out of the docklands and over the bridge near spencer street station..i was rolling at 40k's and then planted it to 7,000rpm and cccchhhuuuuuuu...next thing i see 3 coppers turn there heads and look at me smiling ..

thank god i got nothing but a smile from them

Just FYI - they do it there ALL the time.

They have trainee police doing RBTs and licence checks. Not a TMU operation - they actually check 'normal' cars for basic roadworthyness and rego. It warms the heart, it does.

The St Kilda Police complex is just down the road - they like setting up in Domain Rd too.

I went past a booze bus at 4.30pm on Beach Road just before Bay St yesterday. I am all for booze buses but.....

They positioned it just before Bay Rd, Sandringham (have seen it there a few times before as I lived only 1km further up). However just over Bay Rd, they were doing roadworks so the largest bottle neck I have ever seen was created from a combination of the two.

I imagine with this blitz they are having on drink drivers, they need to cover all sorts of hours but a bit better planning on that section of road for that day wouldnt have gone a miss.

    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
    • For DBA, check out their guide table here. https://dba.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Direct_Replacement-Guide-2021.2.pdf   Additionally they have some other guides and info on how to make sure you choose the right pad.
    • Sorry, just assumed that talk of coloured pads meant EBC red/green/yellow/shit stuff. I don't know the DBA pads, but it's a reasonable bet that they will be OK. DBA make good stuff generally. Those 4000 series rotors I linked to are very good. I may well replace the RDA rotors I have with those when required.
