Hi guys,

I'm selling the bilstein set-up on my GTR. It's been a great set-up for road and track but I'm stepping things up a notch now with some more hard corey suspension. They are height adjustable via circlip retained spring platforms. They are in good shape with no leaks or problems what so ever. A compareable kit would cost around $1600 and up new. I'm asking $1100. No pics as yet as they are still on my car, but anyone is welcome to come and take a look (sydney, lower north shore) and they can be removed with a days notice. Also anyone who looks at my trader rating I'm sure would know that I wouldn't over sell any of my parts. They are tip top.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that the coilovers from Bilstein were custom made to fit the right car?

Would they be able to fit a R33GTST? Or are they only setup for GTR's?

Cheers

Hi aquariuz. Unfortunately I dont think they will fit 33 GTST. From memory GTST use an eye style set-up on the bottom shock mounts all round, where as GTR use fork style on the rear. I think nissan desinged things this way to stop people using GTR parts on GTST :( Either way, you are right, they would not be perfectly suited for GTST anyway.

Hi Ecenshu, not 100% sure on the exact rates but can check them once they are out. From memory they are 6K front and 5K rear. These were not from the sydney kid group buy. and I can assure you the valving in them is lovely

update. new suspension arrived yesterday arvo, so the bilteins will be out and ready for postage/pick-up some time next week.

if you are after a good, proven set-up for your GTR then dont miss out as these are a bargain at $1100.

well since you asked, I'll let the pics do the talking. Nismo G Attack R-Tune branded Ohlins. 4 way adjustment. all alloy shocks. remote canisters. 600 different levels of adjustment per shock... etc. the holy grail of GTR suspension... lol

haha, this has now turned into the Beer Barons new set-up discussion thread! sorry guys, but I must stay on topic.

Bilsteins are coming out this coming week. So anyone who is looking for the gun set-up for their BNR32 GTR can snap up a bargain. These babies really do perform well above their price range. I'm still sceptical if even the mega $$ nismo/ohlins will be any better around a track.

well bilstein removal has been pushed back a week while I get my new stuff dyno'd before i fit them.

anyone who is in sydney and serious about buying them could probably pm me and we can arrange a time for you to come and see/feel them working in the car before I whip them out.

Hey Baron - are these still for sale & also do you have the part numbers for the dampers (eg B46-1672 & B46-1673 or similar).

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
