mad082
nearly anything can be adapted to fit something different. yes it can be adapted, but may be a pain of a job due to the angle that the top pipe is coming out at. it would just depend on the dimansions of the cooler. WazR32GTSt
easy with some custom piping that's a great way of getting a FMIC with the stock piping i think personally Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/138861-fitting-this-into-an-r33/#findComment-2586124 Share on other sites

mad082
no. i have seen a cooler with similar dimensions to this in a 33. you have to make it sit higher at the top, not lower at the bottom. SECURITY
go to an exhaust place and get them to make you some custom pipes to suit as well as fabricate a mount for it. no dramas. Race__24
I have a Trust cooler that looks identical to this mounted on my 33, got it second hand so it came with pipes. I got it cos it just plumbed up to the standart pipework. And fits perfectly in the M-spec bar, after trimming the back a little(as with all intercoolers). mad082
my exhaust place sux.. doesnt have pipe that big how big pipng do you want? you only need 2.5" piping. and thats what they put on falcons/commodores so they should have plenty of that. paulr33
the time u spend mucking around with it, it might just be cheaper to buy an off the shelf kit. go for it and good luck, but it might not be as cheap as you think, and the core could suck. is it a top mount core ? taiphan
paulr33 - this is a gen Trust. so it wouldn't be too bad in quality i hope.. i am thinking of adapting it to sit where the original sits to hide it a little.. so hopefully it wil fit sidemounted.. don't think it would be too much trouble just the dimension that i am worry about..worse i'll front mount it.. ctjet
yes that will fit... it looks extermely similar to a trust system i used to use... its designed to plumb straight into the standard SMIC piping Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/138861-fitting-this-into-an-r33/#findComment-2590036 Share on other sites

BAMR33
DIY is the answer, just use silcon bends so no bending of pipes is required, then buy a number of lengths of 2 1/2" steel piping and pvc piping, use pvc as trial then when its right cut the steel piping to the same lenghts.
