Over here we have a few different car wash places: Car Lovers, BP and another. Within that car wash place they all have a lazer wash which is a brushless car wash, just highpressure water.

The car wash places all have the diy stuff that well; isn't named anything. :(

So over here the Lazerwash is a car wash. DIY is diy.

i just fill a small bin up with water and connect my high pressure hose to it, technically its still out of the bucket coz the water isnt connected to the mains... much easier and quicker to wash the car that way

ohh and a couple weeks ago a water main was shooting water 3 feet in the air on the corner of our street, dad called the water board and they said it will take 3 days to get someone out. he said, well if it takes that long i guess u dont care about water restrictions and i cant get in trouble for washing my house and watering my garden.... they arrived within 30mins to fix it.... government is f**ked....

A couple of months ago I got one of those waterless car wash kits. Not Polyglaz or Kitten or any of that crap, its one from the USA called "Dry Wash N Guard". I have a black Series 2 skyline that i have owned for nearly 2 yrs now and living on the Central Coast we have level 4 water restictions. I "washed" my car with this stuff and holy hellfire buggery bastard batman!!! The car has never looked this black!!

I had some water marks in the paint, now gone! I had swirls from polishing too hard and they are dramatically reduced and nearly gone! The distibuter I got it off said the more that I use this stuff the more slight imperfections will disappear.

I was sooooo sceptical before using this stuff for obvious reasons with a black car. But the water beads like nothing else now and bugs and stuff are so much easier to get off my car.

Before everyone PM's me for where I got it, keep in mind it aint cheap!!!! about $90 bucks for the 500ml kit.

But i only used about 60 or 70ml to do my whole car and now if my car isnt that dirty i just wet sponge and chammy it off in 10 mins and it looks smickoe again.

Our local carwash place has the water recycling so much that the water actually stinks and leaves brown sh*t on my car so I thought i'd try something different.

Anyway sorry for the long post but I think some people would like a different solution to the sh*tty carwashs that do more harm than good for your paint!!!

Phanks for reading!!

^ They already have that, the Navy boys have them on their boats.

You don't want to drain the sea out though, but with global warming and the melting of the ice caps, and the whole world being flooded, maybe it isn't such an insane idea.

it's called desalination. they can do it. it's been done in other countries. i think there's trials in perth actually.

i'm all for it.

my mate has a rainwater catchment tank under his property, so we can legally use his hose to wash our cars.

oh crap :) i got given one of them too and I gave it away cos I didnt see how you could wash your car without water - thought it must be hella dodgy. Wish I'd kept it now!

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
