Haha i will ask him on Monday..

Yeah i texted Leon he said he's got nothing laying around, my mate couldn't organise a trailer anyway so he didn't end up coming.

Anyone else head out to TnT last night? Really good turn out of spectators and a good number of cars, was a good night

That would be super. Is it not roadworthy or was there another reason for it being trailered? Just need it to be able to drive around the block to test. Hopefully it plays up to so I can get a replacement and it will be problem solved :)

I need someone who is willing to drive about 1km down the road in an R33 gtst :) lol

Got my oil cooler sandwich plate on today, finally got that and the cooler the other day. Had been sitting at the post office since the 21st of November but the useless delivery drivers either didnt leave a note or put it somewhere stupid and it blew away

Also still looking for someone with an R33 GTST I can plug this power FC into and see if its the unit or my car with the problem

If anyone knows someone whos willing to help out it would be good. No hard running, the problem is at lower RPM on and off throttle so wont need to thrash the car or anything

Let me know :)

There just the JJR ones, but I think they are East Bear rip offs.

Either way they look good (better in real life then the photos) and didn't cost much at all :) My old OEM ones were leaking and I was going to re-seal them but I just thought I'd buy new ones instead

The Qest ones look better being All LED's everywhere. Mine just have LED globes that I got for the reverse and the indicator lights.

kool kool, ah i was looking at the jjr ones for a bit, but couldnt find the all led ones just brake. so found a guy doing the qest ones. they make a simple light looka whole lot better. hows your rig comin along, is that a second motor your doing, or you have pulled ur car apart. find anyone for the computer run yet.

Shrek, one piece RB26 crankshaft keyway, worth getting one made? It seems Will has accidently left mine out when he sent back to me..... Pretty sure it wouldnt be hard to get one done around here if it's a worthy option.

Engine is at a standstill till the Crank gets balanced, Apparently everyone wants theirs done before christmas so might not see it till the new year. Other then that it's pretty much ready to bolt together I think.

Mine's still on the road with my original engine in it, learnt my lesson from Other people on here :P

And I'm still looking for another 33 to test the Power FC out in. Hopefully if its dodgy in that to Apexi will be good with their warranty.

If you buy the timing gear + Backing plates they come with the keyways. So if its something you havent got yet it might be worth talking to Kudos or whoever about it. I got mine from Kudos with both keyways so was pretty happy

I just ordered new tensioner kit from KMS and Will has my keyway which he's sending up, I asked him about a one piece keyway... mentioned it would be stronger, unneeded and require crank out really.

NO THANKS CAPTAIN. ILL MAKE DO

Apparently I was wrong,Crank is ready to be picked up :)

some progress pics from today, did some mucking around working out where to run some lines, and also put the cams in. Sump is clean now as is the pickup, amazing what a few weeks in a dip tank will do:

Dunno doubt it tho we are always a fair bit behind the rest of the country. We still don't have 100 octane here yet lol.

Anyone know what the story is with the silver 180 plates 18ZRO? Been parked on the side of the road for a few weeks at the roundabout that heads out to blacks beach?

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
