I suggest getting your car on a trailer and taking to brissy. Mark at Godzilla Motorsport is the best of the best when it comes to GTR's and tuning cannot go wrong, well worth the investment. If not my local man Dave at CPV Tuning is the next best choice he sponsors and supports our R32 GTR drag car and helps us with the tuning and Data logging working to together with Mark. I highly recommend a VIPEC ECU either V44 or V88 Plug in play units, your wasting your time with anything else. Depending on your budget/ supporting mods/ future plans etc. They can accommodate any function you can think of and have plenty of cool features. I am currently running over 1000 all wheel HP in our GTR running a VIPEC V88 system tuned by Mark and Dave.

I have currently installed a V88 in my mates Supra and Kingy's R34 GTR is currently getting the Vipec V44 Plug in upgrade in a few weeks. Both cars will be weapons once they are complete.

Let me know if you any more advice always keen to help out a fellow GTR owner.

To Supercharge or not to Supercharge the FJ that is the big question, I wanna blow some dunny doors away at Palmyra in the Big Rig

I would, those particular Toyota engines are almost bullet proof!

Yeah it's white guys here is a pic ... It's pretty stock atmo but have plans for it in near future. I'm reasonably familiar with the rb motors having owned a 32 gtr built a few vl turbos the latest being a 26/30 which is currently making 930rwhp and is for sale too btw lol but am very impressed with the 34 so far being stock and all. I'm not familiar with these vipec computers as I used to run autronic sm2 and sm4. Have been talking to mercury Motorsport about a haltech but still deciding which way to go ! post-23504-13654538831203_thumb.jpg

Usually $1950 - $2k for the ECU. The new Vipec Plugin for the GTS-GTR also has an extra knock board (From a higher model) now so that it can manage your knock sensors.

Out of all the ECU's I have tested the vipec is by far the best. Ask Benny, he'll agree. I am sure he sleeps with one under his pillow. lol.

shit you're brave! my mate has a black r34 n/a he was following you the other day, quote "damn this thing is just teasing me having to drive behind it all the way home" haha.. looks mint.

You wouldn't happen to have a silver hummer would you? had someone stalking our meet couple weeks ago in a hummer was very suss lol

    • 9" wheels are a little too wide for a RWD 32. They can fit. People have put R33 GTR wheels on 32s for years and years. But they are a very tight squeeze. This has been known for about 30 years. As I said - there is no difference between a 17 and an 18 in terms of what will fit. The rolling diameter needs to stay about the same as stock - not very much larger. If you increase that, you will start to have problems. If you increae rolling diamater at the same time as yo increase width, you will have problems earlier. as 9" wheels are pushing the boundaries already, you would need to be careful with tyre choice. I would put 8.5s on the front of mine, but would expect problems with 9s.

    • Diagnostic flow for a code 21 says check signal at the ECU pins, on a voltmeter of some kind it should read 0.1V at idle, 0.12V cranking, 0.15-0.25V at 2000 rpm. Check each coil such that +1, -3 is infinite or very high resistance, -3, +2 should do the same. (-1, +3), (+3, -2), (+1, -2), and (-1, +2) should all be somewhere between 0 ohms and high resistance. If you trace the path from the coil pin all the way back to the ECU in the diagram the resistance you measure at the coil vs connected to the harness should be pretty much the same.
    • I have an elite 2500 running an adapter harness on an rb25de neo r34. I took the butterfly out and removed all that junk. But I also went Plus+t at the same time. The butterfly thing works in reverse to the boost solenoid on the Gtt if that makes sense
    • yeh they are 235/45/17 up front and 255/40/17 in the rears. I still didn't get my answer if i can fit a 18x9 up front. I want to get 4 of this and see if they will fit before committing as they didn't see an 18x8 as an option but there is a 18x9.5 also.   Enkei RS05-RR 18x9 35mm ET 5x114.3 75.0 Bore Matte Gunmetal Wheel
