Does anyone know what happened this morning on Swan St, just near the corner of Punt Rd around 8:30am??

There were literally 20+ cop cars there with the in-bound lane closed off & a logging truck in a cordoned off area. It appeared that all of the logs were still on the truck, so I don't think that a log fell off?

A lot of "suits" standing around, but my view from where I was made it hard to see exactly what was going on.

Must have been something serious for all that attention.

Was interesting to see a black Chrysler SRT TMU car there.

I found this part funny

'He said had also been concerned for the protesters' safety, fearing that if he moved the truck he would "end up in more strife than they're going to be (in)".'

How does not wanting to get himself in 'strife' make him concerned for their safety? Poorly written sentence by the journalist

What a let down.

I thought there was something waaaay more high profile for so much police interest.

The huggers have a good point, but they must really go out & get themselves a job - I, for one, am sick of paying their way!

This would have been a qoute from the driver. Basically, I read this as the truckie saying that if he ran over one of the hippies, he'd be in a heap of trouble. Probably more trouble than the hippies for chaining themselves to a trauck.

I know exactly what its supposed to mean, but the start of the sentence says that he 'said' he was concerned for the protesters' safety...

the quote is fine, but the journalist put it in the article at the wrong time imo

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
