Firstly, it was great to meet the hard core vic guys, well done with making the trip up to NSW, its a long drive, but you did get to drive on a great track, and it was by far one of the best L2S's we have had this year. And by far the fastest and best turn out of Skyline mussel I have seen, you don’t get to see this many 300+ KW track GTR’s humming around every day.

We were lucky enough to get a nice warm but not too hot day. The rain stayed away except for a light spray at 4pm.

The garage I was in had 6 nice fast GTR's in it, this is the first time I have actually seen All GTR's without a GTS in sight. I think where was 10 GTR's on the day. 2 x R34's and about 5 x R33's and I think 3 x R32's.

The Vic boys had 3 GTR's all set up very nicely all with top suspension, great brakes and around 350kw at the wheels. The white R34 dropped a 1.45 and then 2 of the R33's did 1.47's. I came in 1 sec behind them at 1.48, and then the rest were all only a sec or two behind me. The Vic GTR's ruled the day. John held up the NSW banner by pushing the boat around at 1.43 which was his PB.

I would like to thank everyone for making it the best L2S day of the year. We only had one car in the CAR's group drop his load down the straight but once it was cleaned we had a great day.

I cant wait for the Vic trip next year, Im really keen to taste a few of those vic tracks.

See you all soon.

Was good to meet you and the rest of the NSW crew that came down Paul. Hopefully next time I'll have my car there rather than driving everyone elses.

If you come down for the Nationals we'll see what else we can set-up but like EC - PI is a track you'll need a day or 2 at to get your head around. So it might be better to come down for a PIARC weekend or something which runs 2 days in a row (Sat non-timed practise just like that EC day then Sunday is a full Sprint Day).

Winton is open most Fridays as well and is a tops little track.

Just remember you'll either need semi's or a cage down here though.

I'd be in for sure

Specially if led by the head of team track day ie Paul!!!

I will take that as a vote of confidence, I will be involved in making it happen, so hopefully it will be something worth going to!

SAU VIC pilgrimage here we come!

I had an ace time at EC - was actually concentrating on my driving rather than just f*cking about in the car (except when going past the cheer squad - go AYC, go!). FYI...

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
