who are the street racer bros???

and what happened to the silver skyline?????

HEHEHE....Im guessing this is luke, going by your signature. The street racer bros. are a nickname for a couple of my mates, you would know who they are if you saw them out.

But ill protect their identity on the interweb, dont want to give them a bad rep, theyre not that bad we were just taking the piss.

that silver 33 was just a pic i found on google the other day, tried to find out the story but kept running into dead ends :D

i dunno if u saw the blue R34 GTR which was just as bad as that.....its even worse cuz its a 34...and a GTR....a fine one at that....its selling for like 20grand still.....engine intact :)

These guys have taken it upon themselves to organise this event.

For whatever reason they have chosen SE (mot likely because that's where they live) and good on them.

Feel free to join SAU Vic for regular events across Melbourne, OR alternatively, you could always organise your own event out your way. Im sure there are others in the same boat as you who would attend an event in the Preston area if one was arranged.

THURSDAY DEC 7 NIGHTLY UNTIL WEDNESDAY DEC 13

$20 FAMILY SESSION

9.00 PM Charlottes Web (G)

9.00 PM Open Season (G)

DOUBLE FEATURES

9.00 PM Casino Royale (M) + The Covenant (M)

SINGLE FEATURES

10.30 PM Borat (MA15+)

10.30 PM The Guardian (M)

heres the times, i didnt know that bond was going to be a double feature!!, which is a bit of a pain in the ass because its going to be a very long night to sit n watch both movies then go for a drive!!

i was think because there is a few people saying they just want to go for the cruise maybe we might scrap the movies and just meet at the underground carpark and go for a drive like the other night!!

unless you guys still want to go to the movies and see a single session(unsure what we'll see look kinda crap!) and then go for a drive or watch the double feature and scrape the cruise.

myself i reckon we just meet and cruise but thats just me and i get impatient and cant sit still for very long.....! :D

jez ill msg a few of them tonight to see if there up for a run. :D

shattered... i haven't seen borat yet, but i don't intend to start it at 10:30pm! while the drive in idea was certainly a good idea, it just doesn't look like its going to happen, unless, and this has just come to my head now... someone finds out whats happening at the dromana drive-ins and the cruise can be to head down there!

Hi guys... The single and the double sessions are the same price ($12.00), so if every one still wanted to see Bond, at 9:00pm then we can. I know it is a double feature, but there is nothing keeping us there for 3hrs. When it finishes we just go, and continue with the cruse. How about we do this...

MEET: Underground car park Fountain Gate [Opposite Super Cheap & Hungry Jacks]

TIME: From 8pm - Head down to Lunar at about 8:45pm [Movie starts @ 9pm]

CRUZE: Head back to the Underground car park Fountain Gate [To pick any one up that doesn't want see a movie, and just wants to come for the cruse.

DEPART: 11:30pm for the cruse.

REMEET: At the end of the cruse meet at the Doveton McDonalds/Caltex. [unless any one has a preferance of some where else]

Post up what you think guys... and could someone either PM me or post up the directions for the cruse, I cant quite remember, I just followed last time. Last time a few people got lost, so if some one can get me the details I can get us some maps, at works expence...lol...Shhh dont tell...

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
