I am going to say, paint it that silver colour.

Reasons:

Similar colour means if and when sale times come, people are less likely to question as the inside of the engine bay (unless you are going full bareshell) will be very similar to the rest of the car.

It is perfectly feasible that a skyline enthusiast get his car sprayed in the same shade as one of the best skylines too.

Silver is a great colour for keeping clean, scratches, dents etc

IMO, spray it silver.

I think 70% of the reason why i won best r33 gts-t was the paint job.

Went from burgundy to pearl red (some mistake it for candy apple red). The only reason i done a full respay was due to the accident, and i always had a few deep scratches and dents from the day i bought it.

Pete does you car need a full respray?
