What profile tyres? I had dramas when I had the same size wheels with 275/35, changed to 30 profile and was all good.. Although mine is not as low as yours..

I had 30 profile because I knew that a 35 profile had changed the overall rolling diameter especially for 285/295's.

For eg a 285/35/19 for 10.5 wide rim is 682.1mm whereas mine now is 647.6mm. Essentially, a 18x10.5 rim should manage a 300mm wide tyre with lowest profile possible at an offset of +15

This is because I didn't want to roll my guards or cut anything inside my guard either and the fact that I want to at least manage 90% of a full lock with no rub too.

Also have a look at the blue and white pic together and what seems to look like the same front bar the white one has these two bumps/fangs below the gtr badge. Is it only the original ones that have that and the ones without are fake?

Hey Dim as others have said, the front bars with the 2 'Nissan' style bumps in the front grille are replicas. The original GTR front bar from Nissan has these, though both the Nismo Ver.1 and Nismo Z-tune front bars do not have these. Some replicas (or most actually) of the Nismo Z-tune front bar don't have those bumps and are therefore 'identical' replicas, though others such as those from Bodyform Aero do have those bumps. I know for fact that the entire kit on the KSR GTR was made by Peter at Bodyform Aero. Props to him and his top notch work! - I think with the 2 bumps in the grille it is a more individual look and is a good combination of elements from the standard Nissan bar and the more aggressive styling from the the Nismo Z-tune bar.

ok yeah i see what you mean.. still confuses me a bit lol With 18's like yours ive seen is the perfect size and fitment. Ive spoken to a lot of other guys that are running 19 and there all 10.5+22 and look great, where all the guys running 19's.. +12 are having scrubbing issues.

Also, I run 19 x 10 + 20 with no scrub on full lock and I'm using 275/30R19s. I did however get a bit of touching when I had 275/35s on - my car was sitting quite low before however but once i jacked it up a bit and swapped the tyres I had/have no issues at all (it's now just sitting on 10cm from the ground). In terms of worse handling you're right. It isn't that bad for street use (you've sat in my car so you'd know!!) but its definitely rougher than 18s with more rubber. I regret selling my 18s because now I need another set (this time wider) for the track.

Also on this note, it is one of my PET PEEVES seeing for sale ads for R34 GTRs where the owner advertises a 'full z-tune bodykit' just because they have a set of Nismo/replica side skirts and rear pods!! WHAT ABOUT THE FRONT BAR, GUARDS AND HOOD?!?! How are those skirts/pods specific to the z-tune and how does only having those make it a '"full kit"??!? Some GTR owners know very little about GTRs.....

    • I was getting anxious with the DVLA not knowing if the paperwork is fine or not, so I rang them. No update had been given, but I  was reassured that providing the box was ticked on the V750 then the application will go through fine. I've been checking the DVLA website pretty much every day, in the hope that it would have been done. Fast forward to Monday 29th  and I was greeted with a new screen on the check, and it finally showed as Taxed and MOT'd, woohoo! The car was in desperate need of a clean, not knowing when this day was coming it was put off. As far as I was concerned I had another 3 weeks  I'm not normally one for using snow foam, but I wanted to give it another try It hasn't cleaned up too bad considering it's 21 years old and lived on a boat for a number of weeks. The personalised number plate is J2 XBK, an illegally spaced number plate would have it read J2X BK. BK could either represent  the colour black or Baker, which is my surname. I filmed the first drive, the Youtube link will be at the end. I used the same driving route I did with the 323F V6 when I had a new exhaust installed, heres a couple of photos A few more since then Youtube video can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjkFHPzjGDw
    • Thank you, 100% the intent. New coils were due and the 17" sixers look/feel loads better than the stock wheels. The aero options are so spot on.   Thanks for the warm welcome, all!
    • 98 r34 gtt Been rocking my latest setup and car running like never before. Have put a good 200 miles on it since all the latest changes and additions. everything is dialed in and have been driving it a bunch.   However, all a sudden last weekend as soon as I pushed throttle passed 4k and the engine stumbles, (slow or fast acceleration) hesitates and doesn’t go above 4100 or so, like a misfire. Everything else seems fine. I had a “good” set of coil packs that I removed from car when I first got it when I changed them over to new coils. I swapped out current ones for those, but no change. I also changed the plugs, no change. Seems to rev over 4 when out of gear with no load just fine no “misfire”, but as soon as its in gear with a load of any kind, it “misfires” as soon as rpm drop back below 4 k it runs perfectly, smooth, starts, restarts and drives fine as long as I keep it below 4 k while in gear. All readings look fine, no CEL   Any idea as to what could all a sudden cause an issue when pushing rpms passed 4 k?
