Or they could just fuel him slightly less so that he qualifies slightly higher (5-8 instead of 8-12) so that he has better track position in the first stint because it's easier to hold someone up behind you than it is to overtake someone doing a similar lap time.

yeah good point. but i think the problem with that he may not actually qualify better than that with the same car and setup.

team stratergy will work out. it will fall into place at some stage. Almost did in canada.

Quoted from greman newspaper and translated into english...

Sounds like a typical Joe Saward piece of bullsh!t. He basically makes up whatever he wants & reports his opinion as fact or occasionally as conjecture. More often than not he is completely wrong.

As the quote goes "Writing fiction is great, you can make up just about anything."

He is one reason why I never used to buy Motorsport News. Although now you don't have to pay for it.

It does explain to some extent whay we havent seen any sort of aero upgrades recently... Mclaren, BMW, Williams even Honda have introduced parts recently. You'd think Ferrari would be right up there pumping out aero pieces to keep up with Mclarens rate of development, but no. This week is the first week in some time that they're adding new aero parts on the car.

Just seemed like a logical explanation...

Well it's plausable. Which is the kindest thing you can say about some of his stuff.

Unfortunately for peeps like me Ferrari are dropping the ball in many areas this year and it starting to show up now the season is getting serious. I know of maybe a big aero upgrading coming but not until August which is way to late in the year. I think maybe some of those key members leaving is starting to filter through

Im with you there, typical Mclaren, more data for Dennis's mob. Calling Honda a 'B' team is a complement going on there discraceful performance this year...maybe the 'Z' team would be better.

Well it isn't actually Ron Dennis' fault. More of a case of getting a deal done whilst he cane & whilst it can benefit McLaren. The rule shouldn't have changed - each entry should be required to use a different constructor. Back in the day companies such as Lola & March supplied heaps of chassis.

& yep Honda suck wang this year. Hopefully they will improve.

Lewis Hamilton stacked his Vodafone go kart at an event today!!

ahaha, lets hope thats the only wipeout he has this year!! it was a total noob mistake! :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014:

check it, helmet cam style. :D:)

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
