right now we have a suggested location of the top level of the 4 hr parking near century city walk. with this there is the option of dinner at airstream or pancake parlour or we can hang at the TAB, any other suggestions are welcome (movie? although i dunno wats on rite now).

tentative date could be next saturday (13th jan)

watchya'll think?

yeah im down for it - might as well get to know the locals before anything else :) - but I wanna see everyones cars and the setups they use as well.

Im usually at century city with mates on the weekend anyway (cos we cbf going anywhere else)

hmm i'm moving into my new house in dandy on the 15th so up until then I'll be a glenny resident...

nah I'll come down anyways. sounds like a plan.

hehe I'll try and convince the rest of the J-Spec boys to come too as most are locals... so that'll be a stagea, a widebody LS400, a widebody R33 and a couple more skylines

omg omg omg omg after the 15h plzzzzzzz!!!!

i went to my bloody drive test yesterday and took my mums echo only to find out that dont do tests in them because the speedomoter is only visable by the driver, stupid me. SOOOO NOW its all booked out til FEBUARY BUT ! i am gonna go to wangarratta to do it on the 15th. haha 2 hours to get there 2 hours back, but ofcourse all for a good cause.

SO MUCH ANGER

man that has gotta suck. good luck with the next attempt tho.

the date is by no means fixed on the 13th. i just suggested it to check response. let us know when you wanna have it and we'll see if its good for everyone.

is having it mid week not a good idea for people? i know some of us work late shifts, thats y i asking. i dont wanna do it the saturday after cos there is the sprint meet thing on that day. meaning less ppl will be able to come to both

I'm down...go to Airstream..much better coffee and food.

I go there all the time. the 13th being a sat...ur might find it hard to get parking for many cars if u go late...it packs up down there on the weekends...

But I'm down..

Fellow CCW goer.

Drive up with your dad and tell him to walk home after you arrive :)

There is no reason we cant have 2/3/4 meets in a week :D

On another note to funkymonkey;

Does J-Spec store pictures/info from all their imports? Any chance of digging up some info/pics of my car? :) I found it on prestige but originally bought it from an importer when it was in australia.

Back on topic now :(

I usually go at night, as thats when my friends are free. But the day time will be good so that i can spy on everyones car and their mods etc :)

but - anytime is good - as long as its not too late at night.

Perhaps just catch up for the first time; meet & greet sorta thing, see how many turn up, and then go from there for future meets?

haha good stuff. Hopefully you'll know dimensions of car to handle around that small carpack ramps

Should be good.

how about a thursday night? they're usually not that busy and the carpark's relatively empty. Worst case scenario we could all pack inside Rock Kung :)

rock kung? dont knwo what that is, but i wouldnt mind driving by on thursday night to see everyone and their cars

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
