whoever watched the video it will be stored in your internet cache :P, plus doing things like the mentioned just feeds police, media, and the like with there ideas and stuffing going around about skylines, we here throughout skylines australia do not support such acts and shouldnt support these acts, as most of the people here are actually good people, we dont need people spoiling that reputation in here.

As for one been part of a member of the club you should have taken again more control over your actions. As you are representing the club as a whole. People arent impressed by actions of this nature, those that are are complete idiots, and bound to be under the age of 19. If you prefer to do these childish things dont join a club and do these things were there meant to be, on the friggen track/skidpan whatever, not on public roads or in the general public eye.

On another note, if you cant respect your car, dont have one at all. Mods and exects should take a more serious approach about this as well.

Dont be a dick on the roads, Import owners dont need it, and the club as a whole doesn't need it. Hand in your licence before you hurt someone, or yourself

Cheers

others are being hypocrites because they've all done the same thing

I didn't get a chance to see your hekticity on YouTube before you took it down, but I can't say I've ever popped an engine. And I know I've definitely never filmed myself being a retard and broadcast it to a publicly available space.

Perhaps you should look up the word "hypocrite" before you start throwing it around. Or the word "all". Because you've got at least one of the two mixed up.

i enjoyed it, it made me happy.. and entertained others

You enjoy destroying your own property to entertain others?

I'm sure quite a few SAU guys would love to watch you punch yourself in the face and break your nose. Please post the URL to the YouTube clip when you've done it kthx

so who cares what you have to think..

If you didn't care, you wouldn't be replying.

the mods sure aint gonna be happy with this.....

lol.... dude in all "controversial" posts on SAU forums you always chime in with that remark...

like a kid out of some teen movie... "oh oh... mum and dad not gonna like you eating all the biscuits... :P "

isnt it nice.. while i do that? i have a skylinesaustralia sticker on my rear window? i like to have fun... others are being hypocrites because they've all done the same thing... i don't care really.. i enjoyed it, it made me happy.. and entertained others.. so who cares what you have to think..

Im pretty sure i see u around northlands all the time... the one with the ugly pearl paint job yer?

Wouldn't that be enough to get kicked out of the club?

I still see the "NSW MEMBER" thing under his avatar

Please remember club and forums are indenpendant of each other.

Forum access... well im not going to comment yet.

Club access - thats for the club Exec's to sit down and decide if its brought the club into disrepute or not, i think there is a clause in thier constitution about that

like a kid out of some teen movie...

Or perhaps a punchline out of an 80's TV sitcom?

"What choo talkin' 'bout Willis?"

"Aye carumba"

"Cowabunga"

etc?

the mods sure aint gonna be happy with this.....

i dont care what the mods think.... the thread is about a club member, being a dick. the forum and club are 2 seperate things.

the fact of the matter is, he was being a tard on public roads, advertising the club ( he has skylines australia stickers on his car ). that not only gives skylines a bad name, but sau as well.

I think the club members etc are going to be a little more angry than the mods.. as the club and the forum are two separate things.

yip

agreed... if its something to be so proud of put the video back up.

lol. zactly.

    • Lets say I wanted to buy this, specifically for this purpose. How do I actually perform the function. Can I still buy a Consult-1? Am I about to be burned by the fact my car is a 2000 model Series 2 R34 and thus will be some stupid other system? Do I just need this -> https://obd2australia.com.au/product/nissan-consult-14-pin-to-usb-ddl-diagnostic-interface-with-ftdi-ft232r-chip/ And with what software?
    • That's probably OK. That's a face to face compression joint between two surfaces with the clamping load provided by those bolts. So.... it's unlikely that the bolts will end up feeling that load in shear, unless the clamping surfaces are not large enough, bolts not got enough tension on them, etc etc to prevent the two faces from moving wrt each other. Which... I would hope the designers have considered, seeing as it's probably one of the most important things the upright has to do apart from resist collapsing in its own right. But yes, it would definitely be worth asking them what their safety factor on that part of the design was. I tend to think that the casting, being a casting, is not necessarily the strongest bit of material in the world. It's about an inch square, and when you think about the loads that are being put into it, you have to wonder what safety factor the Nissan boys (and every other OEM engineer who has designed all the millions of other uprights that look essentially the same) used to account for defective casting, aging, severe impacts on the wheel, etc etc.
    • Those bolts would be orders of magnitude stronger that cast aluminium though.  And its mainly clamping force, not shear they are dealing with?
    • Except all that twisting force that is breaking a cast piece, appears to be going through 4 bolts in the picture Johnny posted of the BryPar one...
    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).
