When you recognise the shape of commodore and falcon headlights in your rear view mirror then get paranoid it might be a cop

When your the only person on the freeway late night/early morning and you get the thought of smashing the accelerator but then thinking, ahh I'd better not.

So true. I'm paranoid about bommadores and failcons these days, I always think they're cops.

And yeah, a deserted freeway at night is so tempting for a v-max run, but jail, not so much fun.

when someone asks you what car you drive you pause for a moment and then reply.................... "a nissan skyline"

haha i cant help think that when you say this you say it with a Jeremy Clarkson impression

you know when he's introducing a car or the stig and he pauses then in a deep dramatic voice

"what is it?........a nissan skyline"

... You dream about your car being broken into and you wake up angry.

... You are paranoid about leaving the car with your trusted mechanic

... You smile and go Wooo Hooo every time you get a red light.

hahaha me too.

... when the rumble of the v8 commodore is out-done by your screamer pipe.

... when your mate's, mate start looking to buy a skyline after you've given them a lift.

... when you take off normally at the lights as the other car screams off.

... when you watch the face on a cute girl as you go up through first gear in an underground car park (highflow cat, 3 1/2in, single cannon). >>> ;)

... looking over the customer's shoulder to check if your skyline's doing alright.

haha i have a list of mods aswell, i thought i was the only geek

when you know the servo guy's name and he notices if you don't show for a week

Week? I'm filling up two or three times a week (not a whole tank though). Of course I do work at one ...

when you're drinking beers at home you sit in it and make wooshing noises

when you don't turn the air conditioning on, even in 40degree heat

when you're talking to a girl and instead of saying you've never lost your license.. you tone it down to "just this onë time"

:P

when your waiting for 2 weeks for parts to come from japan!!!!!

Try waiting 2 months for parts to come wrong 3 times from Japan, only to be told they had to put it on paper and draw it and take measurements to send instead...

... you pop your hood everytime after your drive the car to see if everythings in working order, or just to look at the engine in awe.

YES! I TRY TO FIND SOMETHING I'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE!

hehe i can relate to most of that well almost 100% haha.

when your mates say "man this is not your skyline..." when you try taking corners at double the speed then the signs quote.

when you try to see how fast you can go around corners or roundabouts before the tyres squeal and carry on.

when everyone gives you dirty looks or evils because they think your speeding.

when every car in front of you is not doing the speed limit exactly you then try to pass thinking they are going to slow for you.

when everyone wants to ride in your car.

when you know you shouldn't but you do it anyway. :( (you know what I'm talking about)

when you won't let anyone drive your skyline unless you are telling them how too.

when sitting in the passenger seat or anyone else's car feels weird.

when you drive another car and wait for the power to come on but it never does.

when you know you should be spending money on something more important but you don't.

when you tell yourself that an R34 GTR is not that expensive and you can make it if you work this many hours and months. (hehe true for me)

when you feel like every car at night approaching is the cops.

when you slow down and wait for cops to pass and then decide to floor it.

when you look for P's and anyone else to race...

When you get yelled at by your neighbour for doing 35 in a 50km/h zone. (Too loud)

Then the next day copping a lecture how we, Skyline drivers, are the cause for todays bad driving.

I just said "That's super interesting", and winded the window up while she was talking.

Good to know we have great neighbours

Haha I can relate. I told my neighbours to go f**k herself cuz she thought I was speeding in out court (loud exhaust) was actually the neighbours mum. He is a cop. Comes to my door to talk to me and whilst he was talking told him to get off my f**king property and slammed the door in his face :)

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
