oo0o0o0o0o nearly half way through the day... i'll bet y'all have already blasted your previous times :) Can' wait for when car is fixed and I get to have my first turn at wakie... If only there were more hours in the day... We just didn't have enough time to drive 12 hours to get there, do track day for 8 hours then drive 12 hours home. We would've died along the way for sure

And now some words of wisdom courtesy of my inner bogan...

GO HARD OR GO HOME

ARC IT OR PARK IT

GET 'EM SPINNIN' & WE'LL BE GRINNIN'

fantastic day. with my stockie i managed to clock 1.21.2 with which am pretty satisfied though being my first time looking back I felt I could have improved in a few corners. all said and done cheers to all the guys who organised it and looking forward :P to more such days.

hahah the volvo was funny on the track :P

But I think SAU is dead atm maybe only admins can post ;)

Anyway....great turn out today, it was brilliant to see so many new faces on the track and I hope they all enjoyed it.

The wet track in the morning came close to setting a record for number of spinning cars - but overall I think eveyone came through pretty unscathed.

Thanks Adam and Corrine in particular for organising, and Kel and Steve for standing in the freezing cold at the flags all day.

The forum was down last night.

Sweet day, was good to get the R34 out for its last run. But hope it wont be its last time on the track.

Paul, you're welcome to pilot mine anytime I'm at Wakie. Thanks for all the help yesterday. It's amazing what driving right does for your times. Thanks to all the other experienced drivers who took a lot of tme to help me and everyone else to learn to drive better

Guys - Lots of great effort by everyone who helped yesterday, but I think we owe Adam a major thanks. Back to back weekend events and both ran superbly.

Via El Presidente!

yep.... thanks to everyone that helped make this happen... and a special one to adam.

i had a great day.... thanks to everyone who helped me and gave me advice whether it was in or out of the car... appreciate it i learnt alot.

was quite good weather... a little chilly but its that time of year. it was good to experience some slightly wet conditions aswell. by the looks of it... everyone was going heaps good.

oh yeah tim..... i think i may have been converted from drift to circuit... well partially....still gotta have some power oversteer on corner exit.

Was about to say the same thing duncan, Steve you were locking that inside wheel @ the same corner every lap :P

Thanks to everyone who organised, but also huge thanks to everyone that took passenger's out (including me) on some laps, I think this is what makes SAU + Wakefield such a good day as everyone is happy to have people along and it encourages people to get out there..

Got a small sampling of photos..

Warning - some large ones when you click on them, but i'm happy with how they turned out..

thanks to all who made this day happen....thanks to all who pushed my car back to the pits...lol....and to Paul who got my intercooler pipe back on...had a great day as a newbie and it wont be my last....thanks Duncan for the driving tips which helped me keep in on the track all day...Anthony

I would like to thank all that came and also allowed me to safly slide and slide and slide all over the road IN CONTROL THOUGH :P

Paul your words help really well and after some modifications I think those track times will drop even more.

Adam thanks AGAIN for a great day.

Stevo for making me laugh ( THAT HELMET ) please someone post a pic of him in that black helmet.

And last two

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
