ok, there was sufficiant spacing, however the line infront of me had to end up slamming his brakes on, as he said to me the car infront of him had to, and by the time i reacted (as i was checkin my mirrors) i was pretty close and was down to about 10 odd km when i impacted.

Ian, rung insurance they seem pretty kool, but due to the excess ($1900) i'm gonna see if i can do it all for cheaper and avoid having a claim against my name. Got a mate who is lookin at seeling his GTR bar so thats good, and i'll see if it's cheaper to get a new bonnet or reapir that one and go from there, and i'm gonna try and sweet talk the welders at work to see if they can weld the top of the fmic on for me

so you had left sufficient space, but it wasn't enough to stop in time?

Col, won't be any personal attacks comin from me,

It was everyone else i was thinking about Mort...

Let me state it for everyone else. He understands he was too close and that this was the fault of the accident. But it was just that an accident and he is taking care of the car that was damaged. So eveyone should be happy about it, he has taken the right attitude towards the accident and he will learn from the situation.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
