side feed with purple tops out of R33 skyline and s15 AUTO are 370cc,

with maroon tops out of S15 MANUAL 448cc and the JDM are 480cc from what I've heard

as i'm going to put these injectors in my R33 (maroon tops) before I do I will get them flow tested and then will confirm there flow at a given fuel pressure. I've read here and there and everywhere and everybody has a different opinion, so I guess we'll find out once and for all.

Tuners out there should know if they're tuning R33's with this upgrade as they're a pretty popular upgrade.

Cheers matt

The problem with the s15 injectors, is they're old injectors.

I would get them ultrasonically cleaned, get the pintle caps changed, change all the orings, etc etc.

Sometimes, they'll flow well, othertimes, they won't.

they're not that cheap at the end of the day after you do all this.

The deutchwerks highflowed injectors seem to be much better.

PS: the s15 injectors always seem to flow about 440 cc not 480

Definitely only 6-spd manual has the bigger injectors.

Check the part number to be sure.

Nissan Part No. 16600-91f00

Side feed

Terracotta Top Colour

Oval Plug

Impedence : 11 ohm

They do usually flow lower than 480cc when tested as the s15 fuel reg runs a slightly higher rail pressure than s13/s14/r33.

The whole JDM vs Aus-spec thing is a bit of urban myth. I recall seeing it written by a contributor to HPI + Zoom Mag a couple of years back.

Did my own research and found the parts numbers from Nissan the same regardless of which market they originated from.

Manual spec S15 = terracotta top = 440cc (or more dependent on rail pressure)

Auto spec S15 = purple top = 370cc

Can't believe all you read all the time, so do your own checks if in doubt.

    • Really, anyone modifying a car isn't being financially smart. We're doing it for the things we love. And honestly, a high revving, light, NA car is actually pretty darn fun. I used to have a Swift Sport, and I miss that thing as a daily, and yes, doing something like some intake and exhaust stuff would have made minimal gains, but would have bought an even bigger smile

    • Yeah, playing with naturally aspirated is not smart bang for your buck power wise, but then I've never been known for being smart when it comes to cars and modifications
    • I mean from V8 world there are gains to be made in intakes and such over stock items, but definitely only if you tune them. We're talking about I dunno, 10kw here and there on a 300KW v8, gains made by tuning in the 0.2 AFR that it changes so YES but also no you won't notice it other than the sound. Duct the air as mentioned 750,000 times and you will notice happier IAT's which definitely make a difference N/A. I mean my unsubstantiated guess is you'd go from 140kw with everything stock (after cams) to 145kw with everything and a tune :p
    • I decided to "spend baby spend", and "risk it for the biscuit" 2 Orders were made buying parts that I "don't really need but really really want" totalling $2.5k AUD 1: In stock items (intake plenum and throttle body) 2: The airbox thingie, with no real ETA for them getting more stock, so patience will be required
