i think optic works in a Lan centre in mandurah if memory serves

lucky bastard (any causal jobs going optic?? i get 4 days off a week hehe)

hmm well there use to be golf but i had a falling out with some big wigs at the club so anymore

plus $850 a year membership when i couldn't play every week due to work it just wasn't worth it.

Jeez, you ask the hard hitting questions Steve.

Well, being a family man, that takes a considerable amount of time out of leisure time, but it's mostly fun. Other than that, have just started at the gym 4-5 nights/week. That keeps me out of trouble. Get into computers a bit (part of work) but like as a hobby too. Oh, and I recently revived an old hobby of painting and building plastic models - did a model of an S14 Q's. Turned out a treat althought the paint and brushes cost more than the model for sure.

Cheers

Brendan

PS> Did I mention driving my wife mad with cars ; )

Sheesh, your a little fisty with that golf club then arn't ya! Glad I am not one oy your victims. Just don't play on the Marri Park golf coarse as I ride my horse out in the bush near there and would make a very speedy moving attack for your 2nd shot. You will see one horse go flying off whilst the rider is sitting in the dust behind him!!!:bahaha:

I wouldn't go bragging about putting golf balls through car windows on a public forum, seeing that some people have died from this.

ah.. also.. how the hell did you extract 520rwhp with those mods!!??

I am crazy about sports. I used to play Aussie rules for 10yrs. Nowadays I play indoor and outdoor soccer, karate, basketball, latin dancing, and rollerblading.

I grew up in the Pilbara so if you didn't learn how to play sports, you'd be stuck in ground hog day.

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
