Hi all, I am Micah. I live on the Gold Coast.

I drive a White Stagea with a Mild tune RB26 and R34 Rims.

I only recently joined the forums, and am looking forward to becoming a club member also.

Give me a toot if you see me - as far as I know, I have the only white Stagea on the Gold Coast to date....

Hi all,

I'm a new owner of a silver '95 GTS-T R33. I swapped a 2004 1.8ltr auto Suzuki Liana for it.

I currently own and race a non-road reg'd turbo rotary (red Series 5 RX7) in the TopGear series and I notice there is one or two familiar cars in this forum. So I will be researching this forum and coming to some of you for advice on all things Skyline-related.

My plan is to make some mods and turn the R33 into a street reg'd race car. Towing the RX7 to the track and back, and not being legally allowed to drive it on the streets wears a bit thin after a while, plus I wouldn't mind driving something that idles under 96 decibels. :P I'm mainly concerned about how expensive any mods might be to bring the R33 up to anywhere near where the power of the RX7 is, so don't expect to see the R33 on track and competitive too soon.

Hey guys Names Dan

Just got on these here fourms a couple days ago i drive a Gunmetal R32 GTST on the North side, mostly round the Moronfield scene haha. i'm always on the Alppeby-Stafford-Kelvin Grove Connection on me ways to uni so if ya see us swing us a highbeam and wave.

one of you guys might have sence me make a err sence with a moto copper at the stafford rounda-bout couple months ago during that BS construction.I was targeted for being a young driver long story but i was targeted and the old wanker who was speeding got let off i copped 3 points and 1 fitty.

oh yeah, any Chocco scum on here?

thanks guys

Drive safe!

Hi I am mark, I am not exactly new ... with member number 88 on these forums :| but I have been away a veeeerryyy long time since i sold my 33 gtst, but I picked up my R32 GTR Yesterday from sydney, so I am finallly back in the game :P, will get some pics and specs up soon (soon as I wash it)

I beg your pardon? I can't understand what you are saying.

haha sorry wrote that in a bit of a hurry. just having a bitch about a speeding ticket i got a few months ago.

the cop that booked me was a real asshole to me. i was second in a line of traffic moving into a posted 40 zone when the cop jumps out from behind a post and tried to signal the old guy in front of me to the side of the road the old guy ignored the cop and kept on driving, so he then turned looked at me and the car and decided he would just book me instead. which i would have been ok with because i did f**k up however the cop adjusted the speed to the next tier so my fine and points higher.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
