Recommended Posts

Looking good, Paul. When is twoogle coming back to race?

We are fitting the engine Thursday nite...pipework fabrication over the weekend...and hopefully tuned and ran in next week.

Will be testing at the track the week after next if all goes to plan.

Just wandering why you didn`t try abrasive porting?

abrasive porting sometimes removes material you dont want removed and doesnt remove material you want to.

the guy who did this work is the head mechanic for a Top Alcohol Dragster team...a much sought after porter who does not accept any public work...i was very lucky to have been able to have him perform work for us.

BTW he charges accordingly...this sort of work is very expensive.

the heads on so no chamber pics. Slightly modified and heavily polished im told.

no worries. I was just wondering what they did about the quench areas etc. it certainly looks like a nice job from the knife edge on those ports though!

Thats an excellent porting job. The guys who do this well have a very good eye. I can see how symetrical the porting is, it is still a process that involves an artists skill.

My porting work in the past looks like a pre-schoolers effort by comparison.
