yeah I was going to use some 340mm rotors I have with the standard calipers. but now that I have these brembos i may as well use them. mainly because they have a larger pad, and should be a stiffer caliper.

if you do want to use 324mm rotors with the stock calipers I'd reccomend the UAS kit. Very, very nice brackets. and not a bad price either.

just so happens that the tread is alost right. just abit tight. so the tap makes it slightly bigger by about 0.2mm so worst case you can still use the calipers on a 34.

I'm not sure what you mean dave-o? you mean I can drill my hubs to take the 14mm bolts for the 34 caliper. and then if I ever wanted to go back to stock caliper I could just cut a new thread in my standard 32 caliper to accept the 14mm bolt?

here's a couple of dodgey pics I snapped just for you ronin. the gold is a bit camp, but I must admit they are a good looking caliper. If I thought I could get as good a finish as factory I would paint them black for sure.

yeah also missing rotors, lines, pads... no, I have everything. I just didn't take pics of it all.. there are no shims in the rear calipers as there are no pads in there.

as for you ronin... don't poke fun at my gold brakes. at least they are factory painted unlike all the cool people who paint their sumitomos gold to make slow witted people think they have brembos...

eug, yeah your black stockies look ok, but I don't like the finish on them (which is why I wont re-paint the brembos). It just doesn't look quite right to me.

Hmm interesting. I was always of the understanding that the pad in the Brembos on the Nissan was bugger all larger than that of the Sumitomo's. Any chance of a compare & contrast?

yeah, I'll whip one of the pads out tonight and do a little comparo. it's not a massive size difference, but it looks bigger to me. god I hope there is some advantage as they are not that cheap! i'll cling to the faint notion of a stiffer caliper.

yip... it's impossible to get the same smooth glossy finish in black without spending some decent coin for temp resistant paint.

they get dirty anyway, so i wasnt too fussed.

yep, that's what I meant. i guess it would want to be to take advantage of the larger diamter rotor. :D

Well yes & no. It is not so much the diameter of the rotor as a whole, but more so the depth of the race of the rotor. See the attached photo for an ugly example of what the things shouldn't look like. You can see that there is a fair amount of rotor face not being wiped by the pad & also that the inside radius of the pad is quite a bit different to how it should be.

It is something to be a bit careful of when buying aftermarket calipers & rotors - particularly if you are mix & matching.

    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful         
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
