What if your stuck in the middle of nowhere and no a brush tailed possum aint gonna drive your 'line

If I were injured in the middle of nowhere and looking like bleeding out, I'd still be safer sitting on the side of the road than letting my girl drive my car :)

you guys r retarded

you obviously dont trust them enough or are scared

its only a car ffs, get over it

Yeah exactly. My car is like 17 K big deal... if it was a 300 K Ferrari then different story.

In all seriousness I am reluctant letting my GF drive it to the shops everyday but in a desperate situation, she can take it.

My GF has had 2 crashes due to falling asleep at the wheel and never driven a manual.

Good enough reason to never give her my keys IMO.

Pfft there's a good reason insurance is cheaper for girls than guys :)

Of course that excludes 18yr old P Plater bints who drive around like tards in fluffy-seat-covered, dice-hanging, I'm-a-cool-s**t-stickered Festivas and the like..! They do nothing but make us all look bad with their scuffed wheels, dents and terrible parking skills and make my premiums increase.

If my bf wants me to do 11ty billion errands for him or pick him up from work/station or anything else he doesn't get much choice about handing the keys over, esp if my car is off the road :D I actually drive the r32 more than he does, in fact I drive about 10-15000km+ more a year in either car than he does. My insurance is always based on his driving record too, esp since mine is blemish free, much unlike ctjet's I'm sure

Bloody men, how annoying :D

Not a big fan of lending out the 33, it always comes back with no tyres left...

the tyres usually wear less when someone else drove mine...... except my mechanic, then they would wear nearly as fast as when i was driving, but atleast i knew that he drove it the same whether i was in the car or not.

as for insurance, i was through just cars and my insurance went up when i added the missus, cause i was a rating 1 and she was a rating 2.

Couldnt have said it better myself..

I am more than happy for my GF to drive my car..

although she never has due to her not wanting to damage it..

Mum refuses to drive it aswell.. Saying it has too much power

If you value your car more than a loved one.. seriously.. grow up

LOL

Im not worried about her damaging the car, cars can be replaced. Im worried about her damaging me, herself or any other people in close proximity to us... talk about not thinking outside the box

:D

Got Trust?

And no i dont mean the performance brand

That's exactly my same fear.

I couldn't care less about the car, hurting herself or someone else because she isn't skilled enough to drive a manual turbo car is the reason I'd never let her behind the wheel.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
