Very light car, Full Fiber Glass Chassis, Full Drag slicks, More than Likely Running NOS ( like most Inferior American drag cars) = quick passes.

A 4cyl running 6s inferior? Got a bit of confusion there?

Loving the Pantera background music.

how does this work? i don't understand how a 2 litre 4 cylinder engine can get power like that!!!! please inform me lol

I owned a FWD Eclipse Turbo and an AWD Talon Turbo (same thing, different badge) and I can tell ya from experience that they are pocket rockets. They are a bit on the heavy side for their size, but they respond very well to modifications. I know for a fact you can get them into the 10-11sec area very easily. The 4G63 is a friggen amazing motor. Completely bulletproof. Same thing in the Evo and they aren't exactly slow. There is a video of a 4G63 powered Mighty Max pick-up truck floatin around on the internet too. Worth a look if you can find it.

like most Inferior American drag cars

That's a ridiculously ignorant statement by the way.

I wonder what parts that car has left on it that are factory eclipse

I've seen full interior Eclipse's running high 9's, but 6's are a long way away from 9's.

you really dont know whats been done to the motor.

a motor with smaller bores and a longer throw could still make 2L but result in a higher revving motor which could power a turbo that size.

and calling that thing an eclipse is like calling the pac performance drag car an mx6.

well: first you start with a truck-load of cash, and then....

Uhhh I dont think the amazing thing is that it was an Eclipse...

Its the fact they ran that sort of a time at that sort of an MPH with a 2L 4cyl engine that is unbelievably amazing.

Goes to show how impressive the American drag racing scene is when you think thats comparable to the times Signorelli is running with a 3L 6cyl 2J in his Camry...

Awesome, awesome car

Just curious, there are many people putting RB30 bottom ends onto RB25 or RB26 heads, but I've never heard of anyone replacing the 2 litre 4g63 with a 2.5 twin turbo from a Galant, why is that?

Holy Jesus that thing is nuts!

Imagine going for a spin to the shops for some milk and eggs in that thing!

Haha, like "7S AWD" or whatever it is?? John Shepherd's full chassis Mitsi Talon in the states, best time is 7.7s running a 4G63. Its far more like its original form than the HKS GTR or the Heat Treatments GTR.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
