hey guys, i have been talking to Andrew from Kudos Motorsports, and he is willing to provide even better prices on his clutch kits if we can get more then 5 people interested to buy a clutch kit.

ok well since i got the interest we needed i sat down with andrew and worked out pricing...here it is...

Freighting costs:

SEQ (Brisbane, Ipswitch, Sunshine Cost, Toowoomba & Northern NSW)- $17.50

Sydney - $22

Melbourne & ACT - $27.50

Other - $38.50

*If you have any questions just give me your postcode and I'll price it up.

**Obviously if you order a flywheel aswell as a clutch the pricing will be different because of the difference in weight, this also applys to twin and triple plate clutchs.

All HD, HDB, HDCB, SO, SC, RC all come with clutch plate, pressure plate & release bearing

All hypersingle and multiplate units also come with flywheel.

Exedy Light Weight Flywheel (NF01) to Suit RB20/25/26 - $504.90

*These can be used with any only of the following single plate kits standard replacement, HD, HDB, HDCB, SO, SC, RC

I would suggest either the Heavy Duty Cushioned Button and Sports Organic kits for vehicles driven on a daily basis.

i was looking at a rebuild of the one that is allready on the car it would cost me somewhere in the region of $250-$320,inc new thrust bearing and machining of the fly, depnding on the ammount of work that has to be carried out.

Downer is the car will be of the road for a week or 2 extra.

I am interested in the price also.

r33gtst cushion button hd clutch.

ok well guys since there is more then 5 people interested il start organising full prices. i will garentee they will be lower then the ones Andrew already does offer to SAU members!!

thanks guys.

CJ

thanks for organizing a potential groupbuy but still have some questions before i commit to buy.

Would you happen to know the difference between your package price and the one stated here?

Thanks

Patrick

I have been keeping an eye on this thread and to answer you questions in regards to the prices compared to that offered by Sliding Performance may I suggest not wasting your time. The answer is simple, the kits Aaron sells are not genuine Exedy Spots Tuff kits; they are kits made up of an exedy/Daikin clutch plate and generic pressure plates and release bearings. These generic components are cheap and potentially of inferior quality.

I am definately interested. Would be getting one for a R33GTS25T but I dont know too much about clutches so would appreciate some help in deciding on a clutch.. does the clutch kit come with everything needed minus the flywheel? does it come with thrust bearing etc? How much more is there to spend on a clutch replacement apart from this? is it just machining flywheel and labour to fit it?

thanks!!

Also what is the difference between sports organic and heavy duty cushioned button? which is more grippy and which is easier in traffic and lighter on the foot?

it sounds like sports organic would be easier in traffic? if so would it handle 220rwkw no problem?

im guessing the cushioned button would mean thats like a sprung centre button clutch?

i have a ceramic one of those now and its a biatch in traffic... it doesnt disengage when in start, stop traffic.. very annoying which is why i want to change it..its not exedy tho.. some local made one..from just jap

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
