I'm not sure on offset but iv got 17s by 8 on front and 17s by 9 on rear, and lowered the car slightly with Tein springs, and iv found that when I'm doing 140ks plus round corners that my front wheels rub on the plastic guards, eventually it just made a hole where they rubbed, I don't think 9inch wide tiers would fit on the front without rubbing even worse???

R34 2 door btw.

u might have to slow down abit for corners....lol jk.... be careful if its rubbing the plastic guards, on the drivers side right behind it theres wires which go in to engine bay i have heard of them being damaged from rubbing........

its fine now, but my left guard came off completely while i was doing 180ks (ripped itself off one of the clips and got caught on the wheel and flung off underneath the car lol...) although to be fair i had hit a hare a few weeks prior to this happening and it stuffed that clip.

The thing to watch out for is the metal frame for the engine bay that sits about 15-20mm behind where the guards are.

dont spose anyone knows the largest rear tyres for an r34 gtt with rubber that suits them, not stretched as I want to run semi slicks, going to go for 17" just wondering if anyone else has run some decent width wheels on the back of a gtt or gtst with semi's on

yeh i dont mind rolling the guards, would prefer not to flare though but if need be then its fine :(, its pretty low atm, coilovers, ill get them set up properly when the new engine is in but yeh its not low to scrape, its low to handle so if raising it to get the best performance out of it thn so be it. im just pretty concered about traction as fingers crossed i should make somthing in the region of 500hp - 600hp atw in a gtt i know the right foot has alot to do with it but a nice wide set of rears wouldnt go stray

After putting 18x8.5 +30 and 18x9.5 +35 on mine I woul do it differently if/when I go for a new set of wheels.

18x9 +25/30 [F] and 18x10 +30/35 [R] would look schmick running 225/40's and 255/35's respectively.

Well I ended up fitting 18 x 9.5 +22 All Around on 255/35.

Removed front guard lining and was still rubbing the guards quite a bit with just me in the car on large bumps.

Car is lowered a bit.

Got the rear guards rolled added about 15 mm flare or so.

That fixed the rubbing on the rear but i'm still weary about rolling the fronts as I heard its not a great idea and can f* the fenders somehow.

Hey guys

I own a 4 door gtst and am looking to fit Work Meister S1's

Rears 18x10 245/40/18 +20 offset

Fronts 18x9.5 225/35/18 +15 offset

I dont want to have to do to many modifcations, preferably just a good roll.

If it helps I'm running BC coilovers.

WILL THEY FIITT?? :woot:

lol relax dude, i wasnt to sure if he was talking 32 or 33, yea you could judge it by his profile pic, but then you could judge your name as driving a GTS which then leaves your "barge" comment void :)

in respects to fitting those wheels to the 32, nothing more camber cant fix!!!! rears shouldnt be to much of a problem, it will be the fronts you will need to worry about.

I run 18X10.5 on my rears on a 255(stretched) Sits pretty flush with the guard
and i run18X9.5 on my fronts on a 225(stretched) Also sits flush, both wheels are +30 offset. Although camber and guard roll(for the rear) is needed to avoid scrub

    • Price seems pretty good to me. Also seems a hell of a lot cheaper then buying another vehicle that only ever gets used for towing.  I'm a long way from you mate, I'm a couple of hours out of Brizzy.

    • The sodium acetate, mixed with citric acid, doesn't actually buffer each other. Interestingly though, if you used Sodium Acetate, and acetic acid, THAT becomes a buffer solution. Additionally, a weak acid that can attack a metal, is still a weak acid that can attack a metal. If you don't neutralise it, and wash it off, it's going to be able to keep attacking. It works the same way when battery acid dries, get that stuff somewhere, and then it gets wet, and off it goes again breaking things down. There's a reason why people prefer a weak acid, and it's because they want TIME to be able to be on their side. IE, DIY guys are happy to leave some mild steel in vinegar for 24 hours to get mill scale off. However, if you want to do it chemically in industry, you grab the muriatic acid. If you want to do it quicker at home, go for the acetic acid if you don't want muriatic around. At the end of the day, look at the above thumbnail, as it proves what I said in the earlier post, you can clean that fuel tank up all you want with the solution, but the rust that has now been removed was once the metal of the fuel tank. So how thin in spots is your fuel tank getting? If the magazine on the left, is the actual same magazine as on the right, you'll notice it even introduces more holes... Well, rust removal in general actually does that. The fuel tank isn't very thick. So, I'll state again, look to replace the tank, replace the fuel hanger, and pump, work out how the rust and shit is making it past the fuel filter, and getting into the injectors. That is the real problem. If the fuel filter were doing its job, the injectors wouldn't be blocked.
    • Despite having minimal clothing because of the hot weather right now, I did have rubber gloves and safety glasses on just in-case for most of the time. Yes, I was scrubbing with my gloves on before, but brushing with a brush removes the remaining rust. To neutralize, I was thinking distilled water and baking soda, or do you think that would be overkill?
