Item: Genuine Modena 3pce Lightweight Jap Wheels with Tires

PCD: 5x114.3

F: 17x8.5 +45 with 225/45

R: 17x9.5 +38 with 245/40

i can throw in some 8mm spacers for free and some brand new spacers for the front, either 25 or 30mm for an extra $100.

see this thread for tyres which can come with the wheels: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...le-t181837.html

Location: SA, can post anywhere

Item Condition: Good, fair bit of gutter rash but seem to be straight, slight leak in one of the rears, expected to be the valve stem, should be peanuts to fix if u wanted to.

Reason for Selling: looking to change

Price and Payment Conditions: For the wheels by themselves $600, if you get the tyres and spacers i can make them $500 + tyres and spacers, throw me a PM and we can work out a deal.

Extra Info: These were brought in from Japan on a r34, they weigh less than my URAS NS-01's and are wider which suprised me alot. Will consider a swap for some other rims similar to these, not sure what im after yet, just feel like a change.

  • 1 month later...

sales fell through, well i think they did, price drop to $800 firm as thats what i had agreed to sell them for to someone, if i dont get rid of them soon im powdercoating the centres black and keeping them :)

will also supply some spacers for the front for an extra $100, brand new, 25mm, 30mm etc

think they might b old school RAYS rims...a friend of mine with a tire shop showed me the other day:D great looking rims but will need spacers to clear brakes in most skylines i rekon

yep very tough looking rim, personally i rekon they would look best on a r31 or dr30 etc, suit the old school lines. should fit over smaller brakes, they fit over my rear brakes but my 4 pot m-spec brakes at the front they needed some small spacers to clear them, i was running them with 25mm spacers and sat very tough but i guess u could run them with smaller spacers if u wanted to. as i said for an extra $100 i can supply spacers.

i like, im gonna look into how much it would cost to get them redrilled to 4 stud and get back to you.

alright no probs.

BTW these come with some centre cap things that go onto the thing in the middle, love the terminology haha.

just called up wheel worx, $50 a wheel to redrill them to 4x114.3

if anyone is interested i could get this done before the sale at the buyers expense obviously.

still for sale peps, throw me an offer and i might consider it, starting to get too many rims and dont really have a use for these anymore. at the same time i dont really want to sell these for cheap as they are proper genuine Jap wheels, not some cheap heavy shit that make the car handle like a shit down a slippery dip.

    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
