Finally, some more rally cars! Very cool Z. No one out here would dare rally a 240.

Got any gravel shots?

thanks dude, yeah rallies are becoming a bit too rough now with all the 4wds ripping up the roads... was bags of fun on semi slicks tho, might have to reset suspension & join the tar babys!

here's some on the dirt for ya

This thread has spurred me to get my old car painted up for the upcoming series in Oct.

what do you think of the concept design i have had done for the old girl. Not to sure about flames though

Yeh, bin the flames and just put a back shadow or something accross the car for a bit of contrast.

Nice, whats been done to your 33 Eug?

Love the 240 too!! :)

the 240's really hit a warm fuzzy spot inside hey.

not much in terms of mods.

sydneykid bilstein/whitelines shock/spring combo

front & rear whiteline swaybars

front & rear strutbraces

whiteline pineapples

hicas lockbar

front & rear whiteline camber bushes

front whiteline castor bushes

front & rear r32 gtst slotted rotors, calipers (rebuilt with new pistons and sleeves), braided lines with hawk HP+ pads

17x8 sparco track rims (re55 semi slicks when funds allow)

17x7 street rims with yokohamas

i'll think of more as i go...

I'll post photos of my 33 when its more of a tracker!

still street driven (rarely) but is mostly used for sprints and 'khana's and some drift at OP and is about.....70% done! :P

That car is 110% car-character love. That kind of project/track car I would love to have myself. Top stuff please post more pics or vids or whatever I'm a bit hungry for more now :P

Here is a couple, from last year.

Full lot below

What a beast. Last I read this was still being built so good stuff to see it up, looks like the track car paint scheme and all :( How's your season/comps goin?

Last season went ok, usual thing with a new car, little problems here and there that hindered our progress. We finished the season 20th.

This year I sat out the first 3 rounds, lak of funds, but managed to get a drive in the Sureflo 300ZX for at least the last 2 rounds.

Hopefully it turns into a full drive next season.

Here's an updated photo of work in progress on my car.

The rear rims are 17x12 Panasport Racing rims with 300x640 Dunlop slicks on them and fronts are 17x10 Panasport Racing rims with 265x625 Dunlops. Flares are compliments of the local holden dealership. Im awaiting delivery from down south of two more rear flares which will then be blended into those already on the car to give a full flare all round the wheel-arch.

Chose them because they were cheap, the plastic is flexible and will take a knock without busting and they were a pretty decent fit. Still got to cut out the rear wheel arches and fill in the gap and then paint everything in go-fast pink.

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
