Wakefield Park SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH 2007

track_arial.jpg

This event is a great introduction to motorsport, we will have John Boston from Ian Luff Motivation Australia as well as 2006 Aussie Racing Car Champion Paul Kemal from VIP Petfoods Racing on hand for driver tuition.

  • This event will have timing for all cars.

  • Each group will have a session without timing for passanger rides.

You will need to have a valid CAMS or Wakefield Park licence. A Wakefield Park licence can be purchased at the track when you register. I believe that the cost of the Wakefield Park licences have recently increased to $50.00. Note that all passangers will also require a Wakefield Park licence.

AUTOsports has invested a serious amount of time and resources into getting our new online event registration system up and running. Those wanting to participate in this event please go to the Events section on the website or click ont eh following link; http://www.autosports.com.au/events/view/2

THERE ARE NO OTHER WEEKEND TRACK DAYS AT WAKEFIELD AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE FOR THE REST OF 2007!!!

The cost of the day is $160.00 per driver.

Full "weekend" track day... full timing facilities... some of the best driver trainers in the country and a great atmosphere for $160.00.

I am proud to state that this is seriously good value and i challenge people to find a better deal!

All other terms and conditions are available via the events section on the AUTOsports website.

Oh Oh and i have Friday off due to APEC.... hhmmmm Corinne put me down as a maybe! Will confirm after DECA if thats ok!

You're already down silly!

The autosports events site shows all 50 entrants booked. This event isnt already fully booked Corinne?

We might need a reserves list.. There are quite a few who haven't paid as yet.

You would have to speak to Marty about that.

sounds like a very good deal. kemal and boston are both very handy steerers. shame it's sold out, but I don't think I could get my sh1t together in time anyway :D

I'm already confirmed.

I like wakefield (and icecream) :D

I don't like pikers....I reckon peddler has to start demanding payment within 2 weeks of signing up or they're off the list. Otherwise it will just be the same shit again next time. I think 7 reserves have already been bumped up to fill spots. That shit ain't right as the booking is made based on people showing their interest and signing up in the first place.

I understand that too. But in alot of cases it's people claiming a spot so they have the option. In this case it's pretty bloody obvious that is happening. As soon as the call went out for final payment 10 people dropped out.

I specifically didn't sign up for the circuit club day at EC and the wakefield evo day so that i knew my car would be in working order for this day. If shit happens between now and the day and i can't make it I'll accept that i've lost my money, and know that the organiser isn't out of pocket as a result.

Seriously, how many more track days do you think the Autosports guys will organize if they lose money on this one as a result of drop outs?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
