Nice buy, Kris! I'm betting those photos don't do the car justice. It's really hard to bring out the beauty of an R33 in white.

Thanks :ninja: Yeah the car isn't clean and there's already a layer of bugs pretty thick in those photos. Washed it last night at about 10pm. I'm sure my neighbours thought I was mental but I had to get about an inch thick layer of dead insects off before they dried up

Hahaha, you should see all the cars from the Texikhana yesterday, especially the ones that were on the wet skidpan! Bore water FTL!

Yep I had a black 34 v-spec. It was great but too much money locked up in it to thrash it like I should.

I fell in love with white and that has been my top pick for colour. Pretty much wanted a white 33 ever since I saw Mik's S3 almost 2 years ago now.

She has a good foundation, forged internals, some minor head cleanup, strong exedy clutch, baffles all round. Just needs some bolt ons to make her come alive. Standard displacement and standard turbos for now. Likely going to grab another pair of GT-SS's I liked them so much on my last car.

Anyway, this car is in about the best condition inside + out i've seen for a 33 and considering that plus the almost new rebuild etc it was a steal.

Nice one Kris

haha...glad I helped influence you. But you are right, a clean freshly polished R33GTR does look awesome. And I'm not biased either...my new car definately aint white...

When are we gonna see pics of your new car btw???

Please make the first mod to strip the front lip or paint it back to stock grey colour.

Yep. I know. I much prefer the standard black.

I will get around to that but it isn't the first mod. I had to put a new headunit in it already which i managed in the car park of a Strathfield car radios in Adelaide in about an hour. Personal best for installation time. Thank god the Japanese owner had used the right harness adaptor.

hOLD IT!

does this mean what i think it means?!?!!?!?!

That I might actually *drive* it... we shall see... 34 sat in the garage up to 6 weeks in a row.

Car needs new turbos before I will thrash it too much tho. Standard GTRs feel so slow.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
