JAGR33 runs the Alcon kit. He bought the front set and loves them, a few months later he bought the rears as well.... He has close to your power as well....

Also as SK would say - increase corner speed then you don't need to brake as much :)

These ones?

Sure they are 4 pot Alcons but Greddy/Trust have never released those Alcons under the Grex banner. The ones you have attached are the latest Monobloc which to the best of my understanding are only available through Alcon and not contract manufactured for anyone else.

Attached is the Alcon caliper that is contract manufactured for GREX. Typically the kits use 330x32mm rotors. My mates S14 used to run them and they are a very nice caliper. Slightly more comapct then the F50s etc as well, though they dont run as big a piston either which is probably why they are better stuited to the slighly smaller rotors that most GTR guys like to run

They are quite a nice caliper and relatively cheap these days. you can buy them new for about $1750-1800. I almost bought them instead of the F50s i have, but i wanted to run a larger then 330mm rotor....i ended up grabbing the F40s simply because these run the slightly larger pistons and can are perfect for the 343mm rotors that i have.

Starting to regret not spending the extra $200 over the F50s and getting the 6 pot Alcons...lol so many brake setups sitting around my house...today i want understaded std GTR Brembo loooking calipers, tommorrow i want scream at me i have big brakes :P

I saw those. So tempted to buy them , only i think the price of pads would be about half what you pay for the calipers. Also i doubt there would be anything but competition pads readily available for them...and then because they are 30mm thk pads would take forever to warm up. But they are oh so awesome looking calipers :D

Maccattack - I have the Alcon kit front and rear, awesome stopping power with no fade whatsoever.. I also run the Nismo brake ducts...

Highly recommend it....

I'm actually quite surprised your getting more than 2 laps with the power output of your car.... Scotsman on these forums has around 340rwkw with standard Brembo calipers DBA 5000 rotors and the brakes are cactus after 2 hot laps at Sandown...

Jack,

If you don't mind asking - how much did you pay for the full kit??

I have been quoted about $5k for the fronts alone.

I bought mine through Unique Autosports, was about $8.4k for the whole kit, so 5k for the fronts sounds about right...

Check here: http://www.nismo.com.au/pricelists/pricelist_gtrbrakes.htm

Although the kit comes with Ferodo DS2500 pads for the front, if you ask nicely I'm sure John at UAS will chuck in the Ferodo DS3000's instead....

DS2500 are good for the street, but with your car you'll need the DS3000's....

And here's a pic of the brake kit on the car...

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
