Bit of a contra deal re Deano being part of the VIP Petfoods 24hr @ Nurburgring in Quinny's Porker.

I hear they had issues with it slipping from 4WD into 2WD during Rally Tas...

Hmmm, I'll ask. Maybe get some interest

Is anyone here a confident Nav and willing to tip in some cashola (amount undetermined at this stage but alot would be great ) to sit beside me in the 34 for Targa?

are you driving the R34? Oh I feel so sorry for you

Apparently after rev limit launches the Attessa was doin a bit of wtf and jumping out of 4wd. The boys @ MPC are checking it out to try and find the issue. Nothing obvious at this stage.

Anyone heard of the same issue and maybe pass on some ideas?

Talk to me goose, possibly interested pending costs

Both Aaron and I have had this problem as well mate (Both R34 GT-R's) and currently all we do is very quickly turn the car off and back on again whilst trying to drive fast (it resets after doing that). It's a new skill we have aquired

if you need a reset, a momentary off button on the g sensor power supply would be the way to go.

BTW Kel did a great job navigating, is available but comes with no budget. she is looking into a couple of options but I'm banning her unless its a skyline lol

Na Ben a quick off/on resets it and you should only see the problem when you first start moving. (well I do). I've actually had 2 seperate issues cause it that have been traced and repaired but both times before the problem was found I've had to do the key trick.

One was a faulty wheel sensor and the other was a weird voltage drop in the TPS.

Yeh mine turned out to be an earth wire in the engine bay! Just a smallish one from the body to engine, it had a fraction too much resistence and would occasionally drop out the 4wd. Super hard and expensive to find

I'm still struggling trying to get the budget together in such a short space of time for this year. Grrr.

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
