I want HIDs..

Anyone got any they wna palm off?

We both buy some and you can do it for me.

You both buy the kits and i'll install them for ya. Easy as to install, did mine on the R33, took me a 2-3 hours to do, but i had no idea what i was doing....now i do :).

Would anyone recommend having the lights realigned since changing to HID's?

hey Matty, amazing how a bit of rubber can bring the tuff look out in a truck........4X4 + highway terrains = ghey!!

definitely.....however all terrains works for towing and daily driving. at least the ATZ 4 rib are a tough looking tyre that performs well without being noisy

i is bored.

+1

Random note, narva is awesome. They make these factory looking dash switches that fit in most standard dash openings. Had to fix up a few things for my spotties (plus preparing for the extra lights im getting in a few weeks), and i bought a few of these (excuse the holes in the dash, have to make a trip to nissan and buy a few blank plates):

and illuminated when high beam is on (right hand is the only one that has anything connected at the moment)

Which kit should I go for Abe?

Links? Prices?

Really comes down to how much you want to spend and brand you prefer. I myself went with a Bosch 6000k HID kit from the group buy, pictures here from my car blog - near the bottom of the page. I only went with Bosch as most of there other products are quite good, i went with 6000k as they aren't yellow and aren't too blue (illegal).

Group Buy link with pics. - I believe it has closed, but he may start another one in the next few weeks/months.

Would mine hitting you up soon about that install.. One of my headlights is out at the moment so I kinda want it fixed asap. But I would really love to get HID's.

Anyone know how to get the main headlight globe out of a R32 GTS-t? I can't work it out.

hey peeps...have a major problem....got a hole in my fuel tank...on the stag cruise....changed it over...put the same pump back in...everything exactly the same except its a different tank...i mean its from a 31 sedan...it just hasnt got a hole in it....started up fine....drove to the ATM and servo fine.....went to put my foot down from the lights and started missfiring through the AFM...wouldnt rev..even though it would spool....it would only move if i lightly used the throttle.....any ideas people??? all cooler hoses are in their places...all plug leads are where they need to be....the tank was cleaned out...and so was the filter mesh on the bottom of the 040....im all out of ideas and very close to putting a match to this f**king thing

Might be a dumb Q, but is the tank from a non-EFI 31/pintara? I know with most of my previous projects, for ease of engineering and getting Regency approval for SR and CA transplants into a 1600/200B, an anti-surge bowl was grafted into the stock fuel tank. Beats having a swirl pot for the cops to see.

If its a stock non-EFI tank, then the fuel pump may not be adequately picking up the fuel. Its a guess, but my 2c worth.

Maybe also a ventilation issue with pressure in the tank?

as for the hole in the fuel tank, the best way to fix it aside from getting some brave kent to weld it is to use natural flagrance free soap. Scrub it on the hole while there is fuel in there, the soap reacts with the fuel and stops up the hole better than that putty crap u can get from the servo.

i thought it was dubious, but i tried it on the rollas fuel tank and it works a treat. The guy that i got the idea from has been driving around in his ae86 with his tank fixed like that for the last 2 1/2 years :P

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
